This was my second unofficial tournament at Bobs Sport Card Mania. Last week I got second out of thirty people; this week there werent as many people as last week (only 12 people), so the prize money was limited.

Before the tournament I bought two 1st Edition Magic Ruler packs, got an Ameba and a Manga Ryu-Ran. I also traded my Suijin for a 1st Raigeki and my Manga Ryu-Ran for Magic Jammer and a 1st Edition Pot of Greed.

Heres my Deck:

Monsters: 22

3x 7 Colored Fish

2x La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp

1x Neo the Magic Swordsman

1x Battle Ox

3x Dark Elf

3x Wall of Illusion

2x Witch of the Black Forest

2x Man Eater Bug

1x Big Eye

1x Magician of Faith

3x Summoned Skull

Magic: 15

1x Yami

2x Sword of Dark Destruction

1x Sword of Deep-Seated

1x Malevolent Nuzzler (A monster equipped with this card increases its ATK by 700 points. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can pay 500 Life Points to place it on top of your Deck.) This cards in Magic Ruler.

1x De-Spell

2x Fissure

2x Card Destruction

1x Monster Reborn

1x Change of Heart

1x Dark Hole

1x Pot of Greed

1x Raigeki

Traps: 7

1x Waboku

2x Reinforcements

2x Trap Hole

1x Magic Jammer

1x Mirror Force

Total: 44 Cards.

Basically what I do is to stall at the beginning of the duel with my Dark Elf, Wall of Illusion, etc to bring out my stronger monsters: 7 Colored Fish, La Jinn, and/or Summoned Skull. On to the tournament results:

Round 1

oM (me) vs. Chris

Before the duel I helped him a little with his deck and explained some rulings on the card: Great Moth. (Around 40-50 cards in his deck)

Duel 1:

Quick duel, he couldnt get out any strong monsters at the beginning so I slowly wiped him out with my powered up Dark Elf. He tried to normal summon a fusion on his turn, but I had to explain to him that it wasnt allowed. At one time he had Dark Hole face down on the Field but he was too afraid to use it because I kept putting my hand over one of my Trap cards.

Duel 2:

First I stalled with Wall of Illusions, then I quickly got out my Summoned Skull. He didnt have anything to destroy it, though. Whenever he Set a monster down I would either use Raigeki, Trap Hole, Fissure the monster.

Won: 2, Lost: 0

We waited around for the last two groups of people to finish up

Round 2:

oM (me) vs. Kenny

I dueled my friend on the 2nd round. He has a F/S Stall deck with two Swords of Revealing Light. (Around 40 cards in his deck.)

Duel 1:

I dont remember this duel. All I remember is sending out my Summoned Skull by using Witch of the Black Forests effect and he stalled with one of his Swords of Revealing Light.

Duel 2:

Same as before, Kenny stalled with Swords of Revealing Light again but couldnt get the card he needed. He used The Bistro Butcher (I believe) to destroy one of my monsters. But at the end I had a Summoned Skull with 3700 ATK Points because of Sword of Deep-Seated and Malevolent Nuzzler. I also had out a 7 Colored Fish and a La Jinn. I used Raigeki and all to attack his Life Points.

Won: 4, Lost: 0

I found out that three people out of twelve have gotten 4 wins and 0 loss. They were William, Matthew, and I. Two of us will have to face each other in the Semi-Finals and the third person will get a bye. Turns out that Im going to duel William in the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals

OM (me) vs. William

Williams one of my cousins friend. Hes a great duelist because he has access to almost every card. His only weakness is the huge amount of cards thats in his deck. He bought a few Magic Ruler packs a few days before so I had no idea what Ill be facing. (Around 50-60 cards in his deck.)

Duel 1:

He kept destroying my monsters and stalling with Labyrinth Wall (Level 5, 0/3000). I couldnt destroy it with any of my monsters so I had to fissure it. Then it started to get easy, I brought out my Summon Skulls and La Jinn to attack his Life Points.

Duel 2:

William was smirking at the beginning bragging how he has the best hand. Well I went first and I drew a Card Destruction. I used it to send his hand to his graveyard. He had a Blue-Eyes White Dragon and some others, dont remember. He then stalled with a Labyrinth Wall again. I believe I destroyed his Labyrinth Wall with my powered up Summoned Skull. I finished him with Raigeki and a Summoned Skull. Good duel.

Won: 6, Lost: 0

I had to tell Matthew to get ready for the Finals.

Finals:

oM (me) vs. Matthew

Hes the one who traded me Magic Jammer and the Pot of Greed for my Manga Ryu-Ran. Hes an experienced duelist, just like William. But in these two duels, he was just really nervous, he got out the wrong monsters and other mistakes that cost him the duel. (Around 50-60 cards in his deck)

Duel 1:

Dont remember this round all I remember is him using this monster card where it says: if this monster gets sent from the field to the graveyard, you can special summon a monster to the field (face up attack) with 1500 or less defense from your deck. I had no idea why he didnt send out Summoned Skull at that timebut I beat him down quickly with my powered up Dark Elf.

Duel 2:

I got a great hand at the beginning, I hand: Raigeki, Dark Hole, Dark Elf and some other monsters. I had to go first but it was a quick duel He sent out that effect monster again (I dont know the name because its from Magic Ruler) and he used its effect to sent out Feral Imp! It was an easy winI thought he was tense, though

Won: 8, Lost: 0

I got $18 store credit and paid two extra dollars to get five Metal Raiders packs. I got all rares except a Harpy Ladys Sisters, which sucked.  Turns out, William lost to Matthew, so Matthew got in second place and Kenny came back defeating two other people to get third. To bad Im not going back there next week.

Now for the Props and Slops:

Props:

For my mom taking me to the tournament.

For my lil bro cheering me on.

For Kenny getting into Third.

For trading my Suijin for a 1st edition Raigeki and my 1st edition Manga Ryu-Ran for a Magic Jammer and a 1st edition Pot of Greed.

For me getting First place and the five Metal Raiders packs.

For William putting up such a good duel.

For Matthew beating William to get Second place.

Slops:

For me not going to the tourney next week.
