Hey what up yu-gi-oh fans? This is the second tourney I've been too. The last one I went to I placed second. U might recall because I was the one with the Pumpking deck who lost against a Harpie's Pet Dragon (which by the way, was used the wrong way. The guy who used it was supposed to receive a power boost of only 300 for every Harpie lady, not harpie lady sisters so he played me in that match. Man if I ever see him again….POW). Anywayz, this time my deck revolves around one of my most favorite cards in the game, The Great Moth. I decided to try him out in a tourney cuz I wanted to show what he's capable of since a lot of people don't like these kind of special monster cards like this guy and the Gate Gaurdian. Ok lets get started.

The Ultimate Great Moth(Main deck):54

Monsters:25

3x Great Moth
3x Cocoon of Evolution
3x Petit Moth
2x La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp
2x Magician of Faith
2x Battle ox
2x Jirai Gumo
2x Man-Eater Bug
2x Prevent Rat
2x Blue Eyes White Dragon
2x Big Eye

Magic:20

3x Stim Pack
2x Tribute to the Doomed
2x Fissure
2x Germ Infection
2x Swords of Revealing Light
2x Demon Axe
1x Raigeki
1x Heavy Storm
1x Change of Heart
1x Dark Hole
1x Pot of Greed
1x Monster Reborn
1x Forest

Trap:9

2x Magic Jammer
2x 7 Tools of the Bandit
2x Trap Hole
2x Waboku
1x Reverse Trap

My Deck: My deck's main man here is the Great Moth. I've decided to build a deck around this guy because he doesn't receive as much admiration as he should. He really isn't a bad monster because you don't have to really tribute anything to bring him out and he has a stunning 2600 atk. Sure you need four turns to bring him out but that's nothing to a swords of revealing light. Anyway, I put in some heavy hitters ( La Jinn, Jirai Gumo, Battle Ox) just so I can stall long enough with them so that I can bring out the Great Moth. I added two BEWD because there's nothing an extra 3000 attack power cant do. And obviously, Big Eye, Magician of Faith, and Man-Eater Bug are there for their effects. Prevent Rat is there for defensive purposes. The magic cards I have are pretty simple. Stim Pack is simply amazing due to the 700 atk increase. Same thing goes for Demon Axe except that it increase the atk of a monster by 1000 with no decrease of 200 every turn which makes it better. The standard monster removal like Raigeki, Fissure, Tribute to the Doomed, and Dark Hole are there for their effects. Germ Infection can aid me in taking down a vital enemy monster. Swords of Revealing Light are there to help me bring out the Great Moth to destroy my enemies. Pot of Greed helps bring out my moth cards. Change of Heart and Monster Reborn are there because of their unbelievable magic power. Finally, forest is here to increase most of my monster's attack power like Great Moth and Jirai Gumo. For the traps, I included the important ones that can defend any deck like Magic Jammer and 7 Tools of the Bandit.

Tournament Preparations: 24 people participated in the tournament. It was a single elimination match. They gave a brief explanation and announced the prizes. For first place, you get a Box of Magic Ruler Boosters and a Tournament Booster Pack. For second place, you get 5 Magic Ruler Boosters and a Tournament Booster Pack. After this, the duels were underway!

Tournament Duels - Round One:

DUEL ONE
THE ULTIMATE GREAT MOTH vs. MISSION: BARREL DRAGON

Ewwwww, I hate these beatdown decks. They are so overrated that it's not even funny. I hate it when they use the same decks over and over. Well, I had to show this guy that beatdowns are the greatest things in the world. Ok, I started out with - Fissure, Pot of Greed, Battle Ox, Reverse Trap, Magic Jammer - since he went first ( he layed a card face down in defense mode and a card face down in his m/t zone) I play Magic Jammer face down and I attack with Battle Ox. He counters with a Neo equipped with reinforcements. I then draw Cocoon of Evolution. I play Pot of Greed and draw La Jinn and Petit Moth. I play La Jinn and blast away his Neo. He counters with Dark Elf. I draw Demon Axe. He then attacks directly with Dark Elf and Man-Eating Treasure Chest and I lose 3600 LP ( not looking good). I then draw Swords of Revealing Light and play it and I play petit moth with cocoon of evolution  equipped to it. He tributes his monsters for a BEWD. I draw Jirai Gumo. I fissure his dragon and attack without losing LP (thank god!). Then he plays a card face down and a La Jinn in defense mode. I draw 7 tools and place it face down. I don't attack cuz I fear of losing LP. He then lays Neo in defense mode and ends his turn. I draw Great Moth ( two more turns baby). I decide to attack his La Jinn and flip correctly again with Jirai.  He then places another La jinn in defense mode and he plays raigeki. I counter with magic jammer and he counters with 7 Tools! Then I counter him with my 7 Tools and he gets all annoyed. His turn ends and I draw La Jinn and lay it down to attack. He goes and tributes his other monster for a Summoned Skull and attacks my La Jinn (I think he was scared to attack my face down Cocoon of Evolution cuz he thought it was a Man-Eater Bug or something. Then I play Great Moth and attach Demon Axe to him to make him a frightening 3600 attack beast. I attack Summoned Skull and from there I devastate him and his deck.

Mad Avalanche - 1 WIN

DUEL TWO
THE ULTIMATE GREAT MOTH vs. YUGI STARTER DECK

OMG this duel was not funny at all. Well, actually it was. He had just bought the Yugi Starter Deck and he said that it was gonna help him win the tournament. YEA RIGHT! He was only like 7 years old and he told me that he versed his other 7 year old friend in the previous duel. I soon found out how he won. When we started, he goes first (I let him) and he plays Dark Magician in attack mode and tries to attack for direct damage when I didn't even go yet! I was like " what r u doin?" and he said that that's the real way to play. OMG I wanted to smack him cuz he kept yelling and saying that I was cheating when I said that he was wrong. I got so pissed that I decided to blow this a**wipe away. I played Great Moth from my hand and killed his gay magician. Then I play BEWD and destroyed him from there. Stupid little punk, go read the rulebook u got from the starter deck that u got that same day u little f***er.

Mad Avalanche - 2 WIN

DUEL THREE
THE ULTIMATE GREAT MOTH vs. OPERATION: GATE GAURDIAN

This was actually one of my friends from high school. He ran a Gate Guardian deck cuz he's one of his favorite monsters and he wants to prove that he's a great duel monster and not that impossible to bring out. OMG was this duel close! He was destroying me with some heavy hitters and brought me down to 800 LP. This was when I drew Raigeki and killed his monsters and then I managed to make a comeback with a Big Eye equipped with a demon axe which I then sacrificed to bring out one of my BEWD's. I was killing him with my two Blue Eyes White Dragon's (he had like 500 LP when he started to pull his combo) until he used both his Swords of Revealing Light. He managed to bring out all three of the Gate Guardian pieces by then using the Magician of Faith's power twice to use the SORL four times in a row. During the stall, I brought out petit moth with cocoon of evolution and pulled a Swords of Revealing Light of my own. Since I thought he didn't have Gate Guardian ( Since he was my friend I knew he didn't have one, or thought he didn't cuz he never told me that he had one), I didn't attack any of his pieces cuz I couldn't afford to lose anymore LP since they have nice effects. I was just waiting for me to draw my Magician of Faith to bring back my raigeki so that I could then attack him for direct damage. I waited the three turns and during them I drew another SORL, Great Moth and woboku. I play the SORL again and draw another woboku, trap hole, and germ infection.  This was when he sacrificed his pieces to bring out the amazing Gate Guardian. OMG I was shocked! He blasted away one of my Blue Eyes ( I didn't use the waboku cuz since I was still in the game, I would save it for the next few turns so that I could draw the Magician of Faith.) That attack brought me down to 50 LP!. During my turn, I drew another Great Moth, which I used to evolve my cocoon of evolution. I switch my second BEWD and my Great Moth into defense position and placed both my waboku's face down on the field. Next turn, he just attacks again and I use waboku. He counters it with 7 tools and destroys my second BEWD. Next I draw big eye and place it face down defense mode and I play Germ Infection on his Gate Guardian. I end my turn. During his turn, he didn't place anything down and just attacked again while losing 300 attack power with it down to 3450. He attacked my Big Eye which I then use his effect. I then rearrange the top five of my cards, which included the Magician of Faith. I put it on the top and then he ended his turn. I draw the magician and place her face down defense mode. He goes and places a monster face down as well and tries to attack my Great Moth. I activate waboku to end his turn and bring the Gate Guardian's attack down as well to 3050. I then flip over the magician and decide to recover my lost Demon Axe. I make the battle dramatic by saying this was the hardest move I had to make LOL ( like what Yugi said while dueling Joey) and I equipped the Demon Axe to my Great Moth to power it up to an extreme 3600 attack power. I then blast away his Gate Guardian to end the duel in my favor. I congratulated him on making a nice Gate Guardian deck and by actually bringing out the Gate Guardian in our duel. Boy was that fun and VERY suspenseful!

Mad Avalanche - 3 WIN
     0 LOSE

Recess: I was on recess during the semi-final match between this 17 year old guy and this 14 year old girl ( who by the way was REALLY hot!). I was scheduled to duel in the finals against whoever won the semi-final duel. I didn't feel like watching the duel so I went outside to get something to drink. When I came back, the duel was still going strong. I saw  a few kids trading cards to I decided to go see what was happening. I saw some kid with the Relinquished ritual card. LOL this kid was made dumb! When I talked to him he was like "this card is so stupid, look at his attack and defense points" I asked him if he wanted to trade and he said that he would trade it for a Harpie Lady Sisters. Luckily, I had two so I traded one away and got the ritual card. I almost died of laughter when his friends started yelling at him for trading away suck a good card. They tried to get me to do a trade back but it didn't work. One of them tried to punch me and I just grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground. The owner saw what he tried to do and kicked him and his friends out of the store. Stupid little punks. What was good about this though was that when this happened I saw the hot 14 year old looking at me with interest, lol. The 17 year old won the duel against the 14 year old. She had taken her loss quite well. What was funny though was that she came up to me and whispered in my ear "take this punkass down." Lol.

Tournament Duels - Finals:

DUEL FOUR
THE ULTIMATE GREAT MOTH vs. TOON WORLD

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He had every toon card made in English at his disposal! He even had two Blue Eyes Toon Dragon's! Ok, anyways. The 14 year old wishes me good luck J.  I started the duel first. I drew - Prevent Rat, Raigeki, Monster Reborn, Stim Pack, Cocoon of Evolution - I place prevent rat face down in defense mode and end my turn. He plays La Jinn and attacks me and he loses 200 LP. I draw Jirai Gumo. I place it in attack mode and leave it like that. He switches La Jinn to defense position and ends his turn. I draw magic jammer and place it face down. He tributes his la jinn to bring out Judge Man to kill my prevent rat. I draw BEWD. I equip Jirai with Stim Pack and attack Judge man. I flipped right. He goes and plays dark hole and plays a Ryu-Kishin Powered and attacks directly. I draw another Jirai and I  play Jirai and leave it in attack mode cuz I was too scared to attack. He goes and plays Toon World by paying 1000 LP (DAMN IT) and then plays Toon Summoned Skull by sacrificing his Ryu-Kishin Powered. Luckily, he can't attack this turn cuz of the toon's effect. I then go and I draw and I'm not sure if it was the heart of the cards or something, but I drew heavy storm. I use it to destroy his two facedown cards and his toon world, which kills the Toon Summoned Skull as well ( Thank God!). I then end my turn without attacking (still scared). He goes by playing a card facedown defense mode and and card facedown in the m/t zone. I go and draw Pot of Greed. I then draw Battle Ox and reverse trap. A few turns later, I bring out BEWD and a Cocoon of Evolution on its second turn while he continues to play his pitiful defenses and our LP stand at 3400 for me and 6100 for him. It's my turn and I draw raigeki. I blast him away to 3100 LP. He then plays a Dark Elf in attack mode and uses ultimate offering to bring out another guy in face down defense mode and a magic face down. I attack to find out that he had a waboku waiting for me. He goes and plays another toon world and a Blue Eyes Toon Dragon! He then attacks my LP directly and brings me down to 400 LP! Now it's my turn. I draw SORL (Heart of the Cards again! Lol, the 14 year old cheers me on and says to the guy that he's gonna go down) and play it. For the first turn I draw crap. He manages to bring out the other Toon Dragon and threatens that it's all over for me. Well, I'll tell yea that Haris is not about to give up and I manage to draw Magician of Faith. I play it face down. Currently, our LP stand at 400-me and 550 -him (he got down this far cuz of the costs to bring out Toon World and to attack with toon cards.) I end my turn. This is the last turn of the swords of revealing light. He just draws a card and ends by saying that this duel is about to end. Well, then a miracle occurred. I drew my Pot of Greed, which then helped me draw my Demon Axe. I equipped my Blue Eyes White Dragon with it to make him boost up to a 4000 attack monster. Then I flip over the Magician of Faith to bring back my Stim Pack, which I then used to equip my Blue Eyes White Dragon to bring him to a total of 4700 attack strength! With it, I attacked one of his Blue Eyes Toon Dragon's to eliminate him from the duel and to take the first place prize!

Tournament Results: I ended up in first place with the 17 year old guy in second place. I happened to get his name by the way, after we congratulated each other for putting up a good fight. After he got his prize, he left. That was when I noticed that he left behind one of his Blue Eyes Toon Dragon's. I knew it was his cuz he was playing with these card holders that were a certain color. I have not mentioned to the color for a specific reason that is mentioned below. Anyway, I won the first place prize, which was a box of Magic Ruler Boosters! The cards I got in the tournament pack were - White Hole, Axe Raider, Beast King of the Swamps. I still didn't open up my booster box yet, I only opened up one booster so far and in it I got a rare magic card called "Messenger of Peace." After the fuel, the 14 year old girl and me (by the way, I'm also 14 so don't think I'm an old guy trying to molest young girls) got to talking and I ended up getting her phone # JJJ. Whew was today a fun day! I can't believe I pulled it off and managed to win with a Great Moth Deck, even though in the last match I depended a lot on my Blue Eyes White Dragon. Next, I will try to build a decent Gate Guardian deck like my friend did. I just need to get my hands on a Gate Guardian and two of the pieces lol! So, this was a very fun day. I got a lot of things out of this tournament. I can't believe that I almost didn't enter! My cousin made me cuz he wanted to go to Forbidden Planet to go buy something and I saw a tournament going on so I decided to join.

NOTE: I would like to inform the guy who left his Blue Eyes Toon Dragon at the store to please contact me at KingHR6788@aol.com. I would like to return it to the rightful owner so please no liars! Well that's about it for this report. If u want to contact me, E-mail me at KingHR6788@aol.com or you can instant message me at QueensCrUsHeR911. Bye!

P.S> I have been interested in Pojo for a while and I was wondering if I could become a deck mechanic or Card of the day reviewer because I know I would be perfect for the job. I have helped a lot of people out with their decks and I am an expert at Yu-Gi-Oh. I would like to ask of the people that I help online to please contact Pojo and try to convince them  that I would be perfect as a part of the Pojo staff. I would really appreciate it. If u are interested on what other kinds of decks I used, u can check back to the Pumpking report I wrote about which describes how I did with my Pumpking + Castle of Dark Illusions combo.
