Before the game his mother came up to me and told me to go easy on him and let him win. YEAH RIGHT! I helped him a bit but in the end I had to finish him. Preliminary Round 2 Me vs. Dragon Deck I started the game by playing Man-Eater Bug in defense mode, and 2x Waboku. The kid opened with Lord of D., Flute of Dragon Summoning, and 2x BEWD. He attacked with BEWD, I activated the Bug and destroyed the Lord of D., then I stopped the other BEWD with Waboku. On my turn I drew a Raigeki. I played the Raigeki and a Magician of Faith in defense mode. On his turn he played a Blackland Fire Dragon which I used the other Waboku on. My turn. I drew Monster Reborn which I played on the BEWD, then I activated Magician of Faith to return the Reborn to my hand and use it on the other BEWD. Then I tributed the Magician to play a Summoned Skull. Finally I used Change of Heart to control the Blackland Fire Dragon. I chose then to attack with all monsters for 10,000 damage. That ranked right up there with doing my nails. Preliminary Round 3 Me vs. Defending Champion I managed to get a very good hand. I proceeded to destroy each creature he tried to play or return them to his hand. In the end it was Summoned Skull that won me the duel. Preliminary Round 4 Me vs. Nameless Guy from the Street I don't know who he was but he did play a very annoying deck that kept returning stuff to my hand by using Wall of Illusion. I eventually used Dark Hole to wipe the board then play a 7 Colored Fish to damage him. With no more Walls of Illusion he couldn't seem to lay a hand on me, too bad for him. After a couple more turns I brought out a Summoned Skull to finish the job. Wow, my first tourney and I went 4-0 in the preliminary rounds and I got the first seed out of 32. Now for the elimination rounds. Elimination Round 1 Me vs. Some Kid (32nd Seed) Nothing of much consequence here. Proceeded to own him in both duels. Oh yeah, before the match I made sure to apologize for what I was about to do. Elimination Round 2 Me vs. B. Skull Dragon (15th Seed) Battle went back and forth until he fused the B. Skull Dragon. It destroyed my Summoned Skull. On my turn I used Dark Hole then brought back my Summoned Skull. I proceeded to own him after that. In the second duel I used Magic Jammer on his Polymerization and dominated him after that. Elimination Round 3 Me vs. Exodia (12th Seed) He brought Exodia out in the first duel. Big whoop. I switched in 2x Card Destruction. There goes any chance of Exodia. I then dominated him in the next two duels. Elimination Round 4 Me vs. Defending Champion (3rd Seed) I outlasted him in the first duel to win with a Summoned Skull and by taking his Summoned Skull. In the second duel my deck locked up and for five turns all I drew were magic and trap cards. In the third duel I made a very fatal error which cost me a shot at the finals. I realized that I had forgotten to take out my 2x Card Destruction from the Exodia match. I ended up with both in my hand, which should have been a Dark Hole and a Heavy Storm, two cards that would have allowed me to win the duel. Oh well, better luck next time.
