Anyways this is how the tournament worked out: Rd 1: 6 byes Rd 2: 0 Rd 3: 0 Rd 4: 0 Rd 5: 0 Round One: Steven -vs- Arron This kid was new to the game. He had just learned how to play minutes before the tournament started. His friends kept telling me to take it easy on him, and one of his friends told me if I didn't, I wouldn't be walking anymore. That got on my nerves more than it should have. Our first match was extremely quick. In my starting hand I had 2 La Jinns, 1 Witch, 1 Neo and a Raigeki. He went first. Arron layed a card face down in defence mode and ended his turn. I played a La Jinn, and the Raigeki face down. I attacked his monster which was a Ancient Elf. He drew a card and placed a couple cards in his Magic Zone, face down of course. I drew and then played Summond Skull by sacrafising my La Jinn. From then on it was all me. He played nothing but defence and I tore right through them. Finally I had 3 Summond Skulls on the feild and ended the match. I was happy because I still had all 8000 life points left. Our second match went basically the same way. I drew a Seven colored fish, two Neo's, a Skull, and a Waboku. He let me go first. I played a fish in attack mode and Waboku face down. He played a Feral Imp in Attack mode. He attack Fish with it, but only after I tried to stop him. He had just destroyed his own monster! I couldn't bealive it but to give him a chance I didn't subtract life points from him because of it. Next turn I drew Heavy Storm. I played Heavy Storm face down, then sacreficed my Fish for Skull. I attacked for direct damage. He played a Silver Fang in attack mode and again attacked! I was begining to think he was trying to purposfully lose. Because he did that, I got mad and decided to beat him before he'd beat himself. I drew a second skull. I played Neo in attack mode, then attacked with my Skull and Neo for direct damage. He didn't play any monsters his next turn. I drew a Fissure. I sacrafised Neo for a Skull, attacked and won the match. Round 2: Steven -vs- Matt This was Arrons best friend and the kid with the big mouth. He's the one who said I wouldn't walk again. When we sat down, I was shocked to see his deck. He told me he had 132 cards in it. Our first match was extremely fast. By our 3rd turn I had 2 Skulls, and a La Jinn out. On my fourth turn I drew my third turn, sacrafised La jinn and played it. I attacked with all three for 7500 hundred direct damage. He played a monster face down. I drew a card which was just a Trap Hole and then attacked with all three to win our first match. He was furious at me. He kept telling me he had good cards and he was going to win. Our second match went much the same way. He couldn't draw good card and by turn 4 I had him down to 1300 life points. He drew and played a Neo in attack mode. I drew and played a Witch of the Black Forest in attack mode. I attacked him again with everything I had to win the second match and the dual. He immidiatly got up and left with his friends. He didn't look to happy. I wonder why??? Hmmm... LoL Round 3: Steven -vs- George Man I couldn't bealive this. I had just met him and considered him an instant friend. He looked at me and said "This will probably be a tournament deciding match." We didn't know it but he was going to be right. We each had a beatdown deck. Our own versions anyways. Match one, George completely dominated. We went back and forth for a while with Witch's and Man-Eaters but in the end the power of his Swords of Revealing light, Dark Elf, La Jinn, and Summond Skull would bring me down. I lost our first match rather easily. Our second match on the other hand I put up a huge fight. It started to turn out like the first. Each stalling with Man-Eaters and Witchs. Finally I thought I had a chance when I had a Summond Skull and a Witch on the feild. I attacked and brought him down to 3200. He then turned around and used a Tribute to the Doomed on my Witch and then Fissure on my Skull. He them popped up with Dark elf again and attacked. He brought me down to exactly 500 life points. I put out a Man Eater face down. He pulled out a Skull of his own by sacrafising a face down Man Eater of his own. He attacked my Man Eater with his Dark Elf and then took the match by attacking with Summond Skull. Man I thought Dark Elf was a horrible card but George taught me how to properly use it during the match. After I lost we shook hands and he went on to the semi finals. I hope to dual him again, like I hope to dual Alex again and give them both a great match. In the end George won the tournament and even got me a pack of cards with the store credit he had. He's so cool. Anywayz, I had fun and I learned alot. Until next time... this is Steven signing off...
