me vs Phillip (exodia beatdown?)

This was a bad duel for me because I run a defensive deck. So when I stall it just makes it easier for him to draw out exodia.

The first duel begins for me like usual drawing regular monster cards with the one magic card. I can play almost any card since I only have 2 cards that need tributing. I didn't bother to take notes because I came there to duel, not take notes. At first I thought he was just another kid running a beat down deck because he threw out La Jinns and Summoned skulls, but on accident he dropped a exodia piece on the table. Thats when I knew I had to attack full force or I would lose. I used shield and sword like crazy on his Jinns and skulls. Killed him off in the first battle. Second battle was different, I had a bad shuffle and I couldn't draw any monsters. All I drew were cards that werent useful like Magic Jammer ,Soul Exchange, Chorus of Sanctuary, etc. I remember him killing me off with a Witch of the Black Forest, Sangan and Man eater bug because I had Messenger of Peace on the field. Third battle I took him out with the cyber jar (j. cyber pod) and forced him to play exodia on the field. Took out the pieces and then 6000 attack with 2 labyrinth walls/shield and sword.

me 2-1

me vs. Nick (powered up beatdowns)

I played this guy many times when I first started playing at world of books. I thought the duel would be in my control, but apparently everyone souped up their deck after magic ruler came out. These beatdowns are damned powerful now. First battle he cleaned me out by knocking out my chorus of sanctuary with his plasma zone field card (for dark monsters +500 atk. -400 def) and he boosted his la skull with a horn of the unicorn. Needless to say not even my Lab. Wall can hold it off. Killed me within 5 turns. Battle 2 was in my favor I drew out weak cards like prevent rats and Spirit of the Harp but no shield and sword. I decided to attack anyways because I had Swords of Revealing Light, Giant Trunade and a Messenger of Peace waiting. He couldn't draw any monsters, so I killed him with my pack of rats and hit him with my harps. Last battle was a good one, but he played the right card at the wrong moment. He solemn judgemented my shield and sword early in the game. It wouldve just done 1700 to him, but he chose to half his life down to like 3625 or something to that extent. That was the turning point. After a while of back and forth stalling, horn of the unicorn messed him up because I kept on killing his monsters or heavy stormed it. I pulled out the card that would be my savior for the day. Cyber Pod! It filled up both our fields him with 5 monsters and me with 4. He was down to 200 points and I was still approx. 3400 strong. I drew a Cannon soldier and that was game. It was a very intense battle. btw when I draw the right cards I own all beatdowns...period!

me 4-2

me vs. Brandon (too many combos deck beatdown/toons/powered up)

Semi finals and this proved to be my undoing once again. This guy for some reason I can't beat him and not because I can't kill him off, it is because I keep decking out to him. The first battle I got him with some shield and swords and that was it basically. The second duel he pushed me around because he yolked up his summon skull with a horn of the unicorn. *side note this guy's deck is crazy because its not themed. It has like 15 different combos ranging from discard, toons, to beatdown. but hey whatever works for him. Anways 2nd duel went to him because horrible luck gave me 3 magician of faiths with no magic cards. Before the third duel I shuffled like crazy. Third duel was the best, but also the worst for me. He played beatdown style, but also made me paranoid by playing toons. He never got a toon hit off though because of the special restrictions and such. I countered and played "good defense" (pun intended). Near the end though would be my undoing. Slowly my deck faded to 7 cards or so. Last time we went heads he decked me out. This time would be no different. Both our fields were full. All my monster removals/Magician of Faiths were gone. The most ironic thing happened...he flipped a cyber jar and cleared the field. I had only 4 cards to draw........decked out......again...all I could think of is....*&^%!!!!! It was a good duel though, but next time...next time I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!! and brandon if you are reading this, don't be cocky because you know if I didn't deck out I would've beaten you.

got 2 tourny packs, pulled out the most buff card in teh game...shining friendship.....HaHaHaHa!
