ROUND ONE
Me vs. a guy (weak beatdown/defense)

This duel started out pretty basic. I draw a la jinn, 7 fish, summoned skull, trap hole, and kuriboh. We start dueling. He plays a ton of defense monsters. I keep beating them with my monsters, but they keep coming. I eventually draw a Blue Eyes. I put it on the field, and take out his stronger defenses. Then I start attacking his lp directly. The duel ended soon after. The second duel went the same way.

ROUND TWO
Me vs. Morgan (magic)

This duel was fun. I was up against this kid who laughed throughout the whole duel, even though I pounded him. I started with labyrinth wall, mirror force, blue eyes, summoned skull, and neo. He went first. He didnt have any monsters though, so he was defeated by my powerful monsters. The duel was short.

ROUND THREE
Guess who vs. Jesse, the store champion (dragon/beatdown/sneaky)

This was a very nervous duel for me, since I had lost to Jesse the week before. We drew our cards. For some reason, I get killer cards in the early duels, I draw bad magic cards when im stressed. I had very little to defend my Lp. The occasional la jinn or neo didnt help much. He used his horn of the unicorn to great effect. And when he drew his barrel dragon, I knew i would lose again. I was whupped. In  the end, he ended up doing about 5000 direct damage to me.
I lost, but i gained no small satisfaction when Jesse lost to Brendan, another champion for first.

I was out of the running, but I could still get third place, so I was entered in the third place elimination, where it was a single elimination. I had to go up against two people to win third.

ROUND FOUR
Me again vs. some guy (75% magic)

This duel was in the bag before it even started. This guy, he didnt have more than ten monsters in his whole deck. This duel went fast as got my summoned skull on the field and hacked away at his Lp.

ROUND FIVE
Me vs. Trevor (ranked one place higher than me in store ranking)(Magic/Dragon)

This was the freakiest duel I have ever dueled. We were pretty equaly matched, ranked only one apart, so we traded went along evenly. I was going card for card with him, and he was going card for card with me. The duel saw no end until I pulled my first 7 colored fish and tipped the scales in my favor. Then Trevor told me that there was ONE card that would win the game for him. He draws. It wasnt the card. I attack, bringing his Lp down to 4000. He draws agian. He gets lucky. It wasnt the card, but it was the second most helpful card he could draw, Swords of Revealing Light, effectively giving him three more turns. I get kinda pissed, but its ok. I draw a La Jinn, and play it. He draws, not the card he needs. I draw another 7 colored fish. He draws, not the card. I draw my third 7 colored fish. This is my game. Ive got a La jinn, summoned skull, and three 7 colored fish on the field. He better do something ore else hes screwed. I was expecting him to play dark hole, but ive got another la jinn if he does. Ive got him beat. This is his last draw. He spends about three minutes meditating, going through this whole heart-of-the-cards ruitine. Then he draws. He has a one in a million chance of getting the card he needs. HE GOT IT. I puts it down. Its a lord of d. He then plays his flute of summoning dragon. He then plays curse of dragon. He then plays blue eyes. He then destroys all of my monsters. He then beats me. I wasnt until after the duel I noticed that I had a trap hole set. I couldve taken out his lord of d. But alas, I didnt notice in time, and went home fourth place.

Pros:
-I got some good cards
-I had a blast

Cons:
-I got fourth
-When im nervous i tend to not see game winning comboes.
