Remember back in the good ole days of Pokémon? Well, the deck limit was 60 as you all can fondly recall, and ever since that time, all card game decks I have made have had 60 in them...and you cant bash it until you tried it! Now, on to the show! [MATCH 1: Me-vs-Timothy L.] Ok, this match was kind of tough. Timothy (or Tim) is a friend of mine, and we have been playing card games since the good ole days of MAGIC. The deck he is playing is called "Demonic Pressence", which revolves around Feind/Dark Creatures, thus the name. The match started with me getting an ok hand of Giant Soldier of Stone with Castle Walls, an Ancient Telescope,Machine Conversion Factory, and Chorus of Sanctuary. Guess what I did...well, for those of you who are either dumb or just plain blind,I played the Soldier in DEF mode, and used the Castle Walls as a crutch in case of an attack. He started by bringing out a Laginn, and took 200 damage for attacking my soldier. I kept the walls down, because who knows,I might need it later. I drew a Reverse trap, and played Chorus of Sanctuary, bringing the Soldiers DEF up to 2500. He sacked the Laginn for a Summoned Skull, and ended his turn. Next, I drew a nice little do-hickey called Change of Heart. I held it back, and used Ancient Telescope to git the scoop on his top five cards...MUAHAHA, I reordered them so he had three lvl 7+'s on the top. NOW I use Change of Heart, and I snatch away the 7+Summoned Skull. I deal a quick 2500 damage to him, and end my turn. It seems I got a little to cocky, and didnt think he had a friggin Melevolent Nuzzler in his hand..Well, my soldier was out, and he played a monster in DEF. I got a little nervous here, and I drew out a......-deep breath as the crowd gasps-...GIANT SOLDIER OF STONE! I played my Soldier in DEF, along with Reverse Trap, and Ended my turn. He laughed for a second, as did I (sarcastically), and he attacked my Soldier with his Skull....ONLY TO HAVE A REVERSE TRAP ACTIVATED ON HIM! MUAHAHAHA! -Cough- Anyways, this brought him down to a nice 5000 LP, and me at 8000. He didnt seem phased, seeing as how the Reverse Trap lasted for one turn. I drew another Castle Walls, and played that. Now I have the stuff to stall for one more turn...I ended my turn, and he Immediately attacked me, causing me to activate my Castle Walls. He took 300 damage, bringing him down to 4700, and me to a very nervous 8000. Things arnt looking that good for good ole me...I drew a King of Yamimaki, and ended my turn. He played a trap, and attacked my soldier, finally getting it out of his way. I drew a Labrinth wall....and he attacked me with Summoned Skull, bringing me way down to...4800. My turn, I drew a worthless Horn of Light. He attacked me again, bringing me down to 1600. Now, this had to be one lucky draw, for I got an Invador of the Throne, which I used to take over his Skull, sac. if for my Labrinth Wall, and end my turn with a big thumbs up. He sacs. his face down monster for a King of Yamimaki (yes our decks are similar, except mine has machines), and ends his turn. I draw a Mechanicalchaser, and play it down with Machine Conversion Unit, bringing its attack to 2150. I wiped out his King, and he goes, playing a monster in DEF. I draw my prized Barrel Dragon, and sac. my Wall and Chaser for it. I wipe out his DEF mon., which was a Baron of the Feind Sword. The match goes on with me getting another Machine Conversion Factory in play on my Dragon, and I slaughter him with that and some other creatures, variously equipped with Dark Energy and Axe of Despair. There's a load off my shoulders.. [MATCH END: Me]<^^>^_^*DING* [MATCH 2: Me-vs-Adam Harper)] Im going to start off by saying this...I HATE THIS KID! For one, he brags all the time, but he sucks, for two...he doesnt have any idea what he is talking about! The Match started with him trying to play a Summoned Skull, which he shouted out loudly, followed by, "Lighting Strike NOW!". I had to remind him of the differance between the TV show and the real life game, and he argued and argued, saying that the real life game is made around the show, so the rules are the same. The manager was the one who finally made him shut up and play right. I dominated the match, not taking one scrap of damage. I just want to say that I love my Summoned Skull when it has an Axe of Despair on it...especially when I see Adams face turn bright red as he holds back from screaming. [MATCH END: Me]<^^>^_^*DING* [MATCH 3: Me-vs-Thomas C.] Thomas is a very cool guy I know from school. He has also been playing card games since MAGIC, so I expected a good match. And boy did I get it. He played a Dragon Summoning deck, and he got out some Blue Eyes extremely fast. I could barely defend, and he brought me down to a mere 1200 extremely fast. I used a Pot of Greed to draw a Dark Hole and 7 Colored Fish, which turned the match back around. I beat out my Launcher Spider soon after, and power it with Machine Conversion Factory. I tore through some Dragons of the Foretress and Laginn's, but he got me back by taking out my spider with a Share the Pain. Grr, I should have played more creatures. The match was pretty much even now, me at a dangerous 1200, him at 1500. He threw out a Beaver Warrior with a trap and a Sword of the Deep Seated. I played A Neo along with a Melevolent Nuzzler, and attacked. His trap was a Reinforcements, but he still took a wopping 100 Damage. His next card was a Dark Hole and a DEF mon. I attacked it, taking the wrath of a stupid man-eater bug, and he went, playing a Jaginn. He pretty much had it in the bag, had it not been for my Mirrorforce, which I happily activated upon his attack. My next draw was a Monster Reborn, and low and behold, I snatched a Blue Eyes from him. Match point! [MATCH END: Me]<^^>^_^*DING* [FINAL MATCH: Me-vs-Tyler Gibson] Its hard to beleive that this little 9 year old made it this far, but with me as his Mentor, how couldnt he? ^_^; Anyways, I have known this kid since he was born, and he is ok. I had to teach him the diferance between the show and the REAL game, which took a looonnng time, but he eventually got it. Again, he is the classic example of a kid who gets everything because his parents are divorced (I wish I would have gotten everything when mine did ._.), and he has over 2500 cards...So, part of the reason this match ended like it did was because I made him such a good deck! I have only myself to blame.. It started out smooth enough, me knocking him back to 4500 LP, but the turn around came when he blocked my Summoned Skull with a Spellbinding Circle. He stalled long enough to make a Black Skull dragon, which he powered up with an Axe of Despair...so now, Im basically looking down the barrel of an attack equalling 4200...My giant soldier of stone fell quickly, and it was all I could do to stay in the game...then the inevitable came..I had to playable creautures in my hand...and the only trap I had out was a Castle walls...and lady luck teased me by handing me an Invador of the Throne. I snatched his Dragon away, and blasted away my own monster...but as I said, Lady Luck only teased me..he wipped out a Raigeki, along with a Lord of D...Im betting you can guess what happened...he got out one of his Blue Eyes, and I was toast.. [MATCH END: Tyler] >.< I cant say that I'm sorry, because I'm proud of Tyler. He's like my little brother. Anyways, I still came in second, which got me four Metal Raiders. I got Suijinn, Great Moth, Muka Muka, and Garnecia Elafantis. I'm thinking of tinkering around with a Toon World deck, because eh, who knows, I could make one that doesnt bite all. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this, and thanks to Triangle Game Center for having this tourny. Until next time...<^^>^_^*DING* .Jonathan Guider.
