         Hey!! I'm Jeff and this is my first tourney report. Before I entered, there was only one card that would keep me from winning... Heavy Storm. But since Magic Ruler came out, therez other cardz like Hurricane that I would have to worry about. I haven't won a tournament or booster pack in a couple weekz and my beatdown deck wasn't getting anywhere. I just created this deck acouple dayz ago and it got me pretty far. I had to break the F/S Beatdown environment and this is what I came up with...

          I plan to replace Electric Lizard with another Man-Eater Bug someday and try to get a Mirror Force. Heh, "Baby" referz to the Princess. It also remindz me of a girl I'm in love with (and you know who you are!) Trap Master helped out alot getting rid of those Magic Jammerz and Trap Holez. Anyway, this deck is about not attacking but defending.. in the process burning them out! So, it'z all about Direct Damage!

Round 1 - Bye

Round 2 - Me Vs. Calvin with alot of cardz
    This kid was about 11 yearz old and I don't like playing kidz that much. His first mistake was too many cardz in his deck..maybe like 120. Anyway, he didn't have much strategy and just play weak monsterz. I just put out Wall and did Direct Damage. Both duelz were similar to that and I didn't want to torture the lil' fella with Toll.

Round 3 - Me Vs. Jeffrey #2 with Light Beatdown
       Duel 1. This duel was interesting cuz in the beginning we just set cardz down. Then he put Hoshiningen on the field. With a Change of Heart and Monster Reborn in my hand, I rose his Sanga of Thunder and used Change of Heart on his Hoshiningen and slapped down Jirai Gumo to deal 6,300 damage to his life pointz. A few turnz later I won.
       Duel 2. This duel took longer than any other duel. We just kept on destroying each other monsterz and maintained life pointz. I managed to pull out two Tollz and he had to pay 1,000 LP each monster to attack (but of course I never attacked.) In the end, Direct Damage prevailed!

Round 4 - Me Vs. Vietnamese kid with a water deck
      These were tough duelz cuz all he played was 7 colored fish and other good aqua cardz. He even got out Umiiruka in both duelz..the card field card that raisez his aqua type by 500 ATK but lowerz their DEF by 400. He also played with two Grave Keepers Familiar. Without Ookazi and Tremendous Fire,  I probably wouldn't of won. Combined with Toll and Magician of Faith, I repeated damage to his life pointz. He won the first duel, but I won the last two.

There was two bracketz and this was the Finalz of my bracket. The winner facez the other winner from the second bracket.

Round 5 - Me Vs. Bobby with F/S Beatdown
     This was perhapz the shortest match. He kept on destroying my monsterz and I couldn't get a Wall of Illusions out. I didn't get out the right cardz and as a result I lost the first duel. I t was getting good in the second duel but I had no monsterz and he had Robbin' Goblin out, taking away my hand. I couldn't do anything but I did get his LP down to 2,300.

  Well, I had fun and I guess you say I won 3rd/4th place.  I received 1 Metal Raiderz, 1 Magic Ruler, and 1 Tournament pack. The rarez I got was Sangan (3 already -.-) , holo Messenger of the Peace, and Steel Shell. No one played Heavy Storm and that was suprising. Except during Round 4, I don't know what I was thinking.. I saw he had about 3 trap cardz set ( my theory is that if your opponent setz a card in the Magic/Trap zone.. it has to be a Trap..) and I used Heavy Storm but I also forgot that I had a Magic Jammer and Waboku. Anyway, I hope I get more packz next week. Later.
