Deck Name: Body Count

Duelist: Buff Brewer

Location: Laurel Mountain Comics, Pittsburgh PA

Email: Brawly13@hotmail.com

I don’t feel like putting my real name on the net for obvious reasons but you guys can just call me what all my friends call me, Buff. I use a well rounded deck that my friends have nick named "Body Count" due to my record which stands at zero official losses after three tournaments and numerous underground duelist gatherings. I was the first member of Laurel Mountain's house team of duelists named "Crimson" which consists of my younger brother, my long time rival Jesse, and myself. We have competed in numerous official tournaments and every time so far the results have been the same, I took 1st, my friend took 2nd, and my brother took 3rd, keep in mind that its only been the 3rd official tourney so far for our shop, so we are far from invincible, we just have not met our match in our area I guess.

Ill just skip the first rounds because they were basically very boring and not worth your time. That having been said, on to the finals.

My brother Mike VS Seth

Seth had a ton of cards and I’m talking more than I’ve ever seen in one person’s collection. My brother wasn’t too worried though cause he had just won 2 matches and didn’t have too much trouble. The kid played a Barrel Dragon Deck and didn’t seem too sure of himself. Well to make a long story short my bro beat him like a red headed stepchild. He shook the kid’s hand and told him why he lost lol, then he helped the kid rebuild his deck and told him that he looked forward to facing him again. The kid seemed happy.

Jesse VS Nathan

Nathan is actually a good friend of mine as well, but hey teammates come first so I was cheering for Jesse. Jesse plays a very good Gate Guardian deck and has only lost to me and our friend Kyle in the past. Not much to say for this match, both players stalled like crazy with Wabuka and other tactics but after awhile of no life point damage, Jesse brought out the Guardian using a special summon combination of Ultimate Offering, Share the Pain, and Soul Exchange and in 3 turns it was all over.

Buff VS Kyle

Once again a friend of mine. He plays an amazing weenie rush deck, but it was no match for body count. My opening hand was Mirror Force, Seven Tools of the Bandit, Swords of Revealing Light, La Jinn, and Blue Eyes White Dragon He started off with a La Jinn, I also played La Jinn. He attached Axe of Despair and blasted my La Jinn for 1000 damage. I was actually really surprised cause I didn’t expect the Axe this early in the game. I drew my card and got Lord of D. I then summoned another La Jinn, and played Swords of Revealing Light to by me some time, I drew my card and got my Flute of Summoning the Dragon. He summoned his Summoned Skull and looked like he was setting up for something big. I quickly drew my next card after switching La Jinn to defense mode and placing Mask of Darkness face down. The next turn I drew my second BEWD. Kyle despelled SORL and I quickly summoned Lord of D to the field, Kyle played trap hole and I countered with Seven Tools, I then played my Dragon Flute and brought out both BEWD, he attacked fissured Lord of D in hopes of using another on my BEWD the next turn because he as about to destroy my La Jinn with his summoned skull which now hand the Axe of Despair attached to it thanks to a quick tribute. Lord of D was now dead, and he attacked La Jinn, only to be wiped off the map by my Mirror Force. I then attacked directly with both BEWD scoring with 6000 damage. The next turn he summoned 7 colored fish I used share the pain to summon my 3rd Blue Eyes White Dragon and once again attacked for 9000 direct ending the duel.

Round of Finals

Jesse won the buy.

Buff VS Mike (Battle of Brothers lol)

Mike knows my deck inside and out, facing him is always tough. The first round I quickly crushed him due to lack of monsters. The second round however didn’t go as smoothly, Mike used heavy monster removal in the form of 3 Trap Holes, 3 Man Eater Bugs, a Fissure and the most annoying card on earth CARD DESTRUCTION, which caused me to lose not only my Mirror Force, but my BEWD and my Summoning Flute. He brought out Sanga of the Thunder and wiped the smile off my face when he crushed my Summoned Skull. The next turn I used Soul Exchange on his Sanga to tribute it for my second Summoned Skull and attacked his face down monster only to find out it was Nimble Momonga, needless to say he special summoned two more and I had no choice but to attack them to prevent the summoning of Dark Magician. So now Mike is up to 11,000 life points and just to rub in the pain he casts 2 Dian Keto, bring him to an incredible 13,000. I eventually got my monster reborn and brought back a BEWD but by the time I got enough attacks in to bring him down, I had run out of cards and Mike had successfully stalled me which had been his plan all along. (Darn It I trained him too good lol). The 3rd round I drew Pot of Greed, Swords of Revealing Light, Blue Eyes White Dragon, Monster Reborn and Lord of D. I didn’t want my Lord of D to go down so early so I used SORL followed by Pot of Greed, giving me the summoning flute and Man Eater Bug. I played Man-Eater Bug face down, and drew a card, it was another BEWD. Next turn I played my Lord of D face down. The final turn of my SORL I drew Mirror Force. But this time my brother’s field had Sanga of the Thunder, Summoned Skull and Dark Magician due to some sweet spell combos. His first attack nailed my Man-Eater Bug so the Dark Magician took a dirt nap. He then did some direct damage and activated Robbin Goblin and took my BEWD, on the next turn I flipped Lord of D played my Flute brought out my BEWD and the one I drew this turn. I then played Monster Reborn on my 3rd and attacked Summoned Skull only to be Wabokaed. Mike Destroyed Lord of D and then flipped the dreaded Dragon Capture Jar, I knew I was in trouble. I needed something that could help, but I couldn’t think of anything. I drew my card and it was magician of faith, I played her face down, and wabokaed my brother’s onslaught. The next turn I flipped MOF bringing back Pot of Greed, I played it and got Destroy Trap. I played destroy trap and my brother attacked with Sanga and was planning on using his effect to take out at least one Blue Eyes White Dragon, but Mirror Force quickly ended this hope and I attacked for 9000 ending the duel in one blow.

Body Count VS Guardian of the Gate

Buff VS Jesse

The first round went quickly but was very close, it came down to me with 300 and jesse barely losing thanks impart to my monster reborn of his Sanga of the Thunder. The next round Jesse completely stalled me out and I ran out of cards losing the match. The final round was crazy, Jesse got all his Gate Guardian peices on the field and managed to keep them there because of waboka and a heavystorm that sent my Monster Reborn and my Mirror Force to the graveyard. Due to the effects of the trinity cards, my BEWDs were run over (man i wish i would have had my Mirror Force), I summoned magician of faith. The next turn Jess was on the attack and I used waboka to block his attemps, the next turn I summoned Summoned Skull, and flipped MOF bringing back my Monster Reborn and I cast it on BEWD. I took out Kazejin with SS, then Nailed Sanga with my BEWD. The next turn I summoned my second MOF, I attacked with BEWD and Jesse blocked with waboka, then I attacked with Summoned Skull but Jesse played Rush Recklessly and kicked my Summoned Skulls butt. The next turn I flipped Magician of Faith and brought back Monster Reborn, I casted and resurected Sanga so now it was BEWD and Sanga on my side I destroyed Suijin and attacked with Sanga for 2600. The next turn Jesse summoned a card face down but I trap holed it and attack with Sanga and BEWD for 5600 for the win.
