Subject: Report for tourny Summoned Skull Beatdown Deck, Great White Entertainment, British Columbia Canada- Michael Cross It was the first tournament ever here, and their going to be running them until December. We got split into two age groups. 10 and under and 11 and older. I went to 11 & up, so I had to wait until the little kids registered. It was a $6.00 entry fee, but meh, I got a tourny pack for it. I registered and got my tournament pack and busted out a Oscillo Hero #2, a Wodan Resident of The Forest and a Hercules Beetle! I didn't get a rare but who cares the chances are 1 in 3. So I headed to the empty building across the parking lot to duel. By the way, here is my deck: Deck containing 42 cards- Monsters: (17) Hane-Hane x3 Summoned Skull x2 Whiptail Crow x2 Big Eye x1 Blue Eyes White Dragon x1 Boar Soldier x1 Kazejin x1 Kuriboh x1 La Jinn x1 Labyrinth Wall x1 Man-Eater Bug x1 Magician of Faith x1 Witch of the Black Forest x1 Magic: (19) Fissure x2 Sword Of Deep Seated x2 Tribute To The Doomed x2 Black Pendant x1 Card Destruction x1 Change of Heart x1 Giant Trunade x1 Heavy Storm x1 Horn of Light x1 Horn of The Unicorn x1 Messanger of Peace x1 (SoRL replacement) Monster Reborn x1 Mystic Plasma Zone x1 Ookazi x1 Raigeki x1 Soul Exchange x1 Sword Of Dark Destruction x1 Traps: (5) Trap Hole x2 Fairy's Hand Mirror x1 Horn of Heaven x1 Seven Tools Of The Bandit x1 Well, there were a couple stupid things about this tournament. One, it was a one loss your out kinda thing. Two, NO SUPERVISION BARELY! It really stunk. And third, no prize. For a first tourney, I thought they could have at least a prize for top 3 or something. Round 1: Me vs. Bradly (Spelt proper) Poor kid. We weren't playing tributes so he layed a Kazejin on his first turn. And thank god I didn't have a attack monster there! He says we are playing by 2000 lp, so I could of been finished right away. After losing 2900 lp and going to 100 (thank you Dian Keto, but you got stolen later). He ended up getting out all the Gate Guardian pieces! At least he knew what you had to do for GG. He got rid of them and put him out. I had never seen a Gate Guardian ever before. It was cool. He womped my Big Eye in defence mode, which allowed me to use his effect. So I drew the cards and they were Boar Soldier, SoDS, Change of Heart, Whiptail Crow and another SoDS. I put CoH first of course. Next turn, I used Change of Heart on Gate Guardian and attacked his lp end of story. Round 2: Me vs. Greg This was someone I knew and he knew how to play. But we didn't get started much, because his mom said that 30 minutes of the tournament was too long and it was time to leave so I got a win by default. Round 3: Me vs. Adam (CHEATER!) This kid's deck was stacked. I say about 150-200 cards. Mine being 42, I thought he would lose for sure. He played by tributes but said didn't tribute for face-down level fives and over. So I would go attacking, knowing that the highest possible defense I could face was 2000. But no, it was Sanga of the Thunder. I thought, what the heck? He didn't tell me this part. Then, when I busted out my Kazejin he said offering monsters protects them! Since no one that was running the thing knew the rules, I could do nothing. I had him at a tight spot at 3400 lp with me at 1000. I had a plan to Raigeki his field then attack. But then he played Just Desserts, and I had 2 monsters. I reminded him that he can't play traps from your hand, so he put it face down. But then I started my turn he flipped it over saying "as soon as you start I can flip it". That got me really mad. He can't do that can he now? I would of Heavy Stormed it before using Raigeki and attacking, but he wouldn't listen. So I let him win, seeing how there were no prizes. I got 3rd, which is pretty good for the amount of cheaters there. _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
