"Counter Strike, Han Man, Mint Collectables, NY"

Date: September 8th, 2002
Deck Name: Counter Strike ( not creative ) lol
Name: just call me Han ( i prefer it )
Location: Mint Collectables, Monroe, NY
Number of people: 19
Entry fee: $10.00

This tournament was not an official duelist kingdom tournament.
It was a double elimination tournament. They allowed english cards
only ( of course restrictions ). I looked at the prize list.  First place:
Gate Gaurdian Set, Second place: Toon Summond Skull, Third place:
3 Magic Ruler booster packs, and 12 or under got 2 figures of their
choice. I really didnt want 1st prize, I really wanted that Toon Summond
Skull out of all the prizes. I faced this one of a brother duo team. His
name was Mark and the other was Matt. At every tournament they win
1st and the other wins 2nd. I faced Mark the younger and slightly weaker
of the 2 ( he still was good dont get me wrong ). It went like this
Han (me): 8000, 7000, 6000, 4000, 3000
Mark: 8000, 5500, 3000, 0 (dead)
It was close but all i know was that Dark Elf was my weapon of choice.
After that I mostly was talking and looking at the others. Mark and
Matt were definetly the ones expected to win. Now get your big bottle of
soda, you have a lot of reading to do.

My Deck: 43

Monsters: 24

2 7 Colored Fishes                                              ( just like above except the defense )

1 Neo The Magic Swordsman                               ( same as Battle Ox )

1 Big Eye                                                           ( get the good cards first )

1 Black Pendant                                                   ( similar to SODS but 500 direct damage when its gone is ok )

Monster to Magic/Trap: 24/19

First Match
Han Man (me) vs.Chris D. (basic beatdown deck)
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7700, 7500, 5500
Chris D.: 8000, 7800, 6800, 3800, 0 (dead)
This was a very nice duelist, I thought he was new to the game but he did pretty good. I had a horrible hand at the start
but by the second turn I knew what I wanted to do. He took plenty of life points away but I have a counter deck so I
turned the entire game over with some cards and Monster Reborn. As soon as I turn the game around it was down hill from
there.

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7300
Chris D.: 8000, 6900, 6400, 2900, 0 (dead)
I put down Wall Of Illusion in defense (duh). Then he used Curse Of Fiend ( i dont like it ) and made my Wall Of Illusion
into attack mode. Then he attacked with Neo The Magic Swordsman. That was definetly a clever move, though it was
the only damage he would do during the duel. Later he summonded a BEWD, bluffed on his attack because I had a trap
card face down though it was 7 Tools Of The Bandit. I drew my Spellbinding Circle and I sacraficed my monster with
SODS and my other monster to summon BEWD. He couldnt attack so I drew my SODS. Then I attacked it ( 6900-
6400 ). Then it was just downhill from there.

Second Match
Han Man (me) vs.Matt (the best guy there with a wennie rush deck)
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 4000, 3900
Matt: 8000, 7900, 5700, 2700, 500, 350, 0 (dead)
This was definetly the only chanllenge I really ever had. He is just as good as I am so he was like my rival ( a friendly one ).
I remeber that he had a bad hand and start so that is why he lost. I had my Jurai Gumos killing him except once they took
half of my life points away. I think he powered up one of his monsters with this 700 equip card I forgot its name at the moment
( no not stim pack ) and it was 100 more than Jurai so that is how I lost that 100 life points. Later I got out my BEWD for a
while but then it go bye bye. He still resisted even toward the end. There was no down hill in anyone of these duels (especially this
one)

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7900, 3950, 3700, 1000, 500, 0 (dead) *sniff sniff*
Matt: 8000, 7800, 6100, 5700, 3600
Matt showed his real skill in this match. I dont remeber to much but I do know that he had powered up his monsters
and when I used Despell or something it would just go to the top of his deck. I didnt go down without a fight though.
He overpowered me at the end with his 3 monsters.

3rd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 5850, 4150, 1550, 950, 0 (dead) *sniff sniff again!!*
Matt: 8000, 7850, 6150, 4750, 4550, 3550
This was the perfect example of a nail-bitting yugioh duel. Im not to sure of how it went because so much happened that
I couldnt write all of it down. It was back and forth. My cards try to help me even my Time Wizard, still I lost but not by
much!

Third Match
Han Man (me) vs. Barry (good guy just not that good)
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000
Barry: 8000, 6800, 7800, 5200, 3400, 1600, 0 (dead)
I have no idea how this kid got this far either that or he just had bad hands in every duel that I had with him.
He had good defense though. I had attacked his life points with my La Jinn my second turn. Then he used Dian Keto to
heal 1000 of his life points. Then I attacked with La Jinn and 7 Colored Fish. Then it was downhill from that point.

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000
Barry: 8000, 7900, 4900, 1900, 0 (dead)
It was like the same like last time except it was way faster. Need I say more?

Fourth Match
Han Man (me) vs. Matt G. (he was ok but not the like the other Matt)
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7350, 5700, 4700, 3700, 3570
Matt G.: 8000, 7850, 7650, 5850, 3850, 1850, 0 (dead)
I think I killed myself more than he killed me. As you can see I took 2000 to myself because of Dark Elf.
The only way I got hit by him with his high defense monsters. It took a while but once I had my monsters
out like Maha Vailo it was really hard for him to defend.

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 4000
Matt G.: 8000, 7900, 5700, 0 (dead)
The 4000 life point loss thing was oblivously a gift from my Jurai Gumo. In the begining it was like I countered his
every move. Then once I had my BEWD and my other high attack monsters on the field I was destroying him.
Rolling down the hill up to speeds of mach 2. (lol)

Fifth Match
Han Man (me) vs. Mark (the other brother of Matt in the duo)
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7950, 6500, 5500
Mark: 8000, 6200, 4200, 2400, 0 (dead)
This was for 2nd place (at least) and the Toon Summond Skull. He was a great duelist with much experience but
it seemed like when I dueled him he wasnt has good as his brother Matt was. I had a rough start but I caught up
quickly with La Jinn and Dark Elf. Of course my magics and traps helped me. Once he was down to 4200 I knew
I was going to win.

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 5500, 4500
Mark: 8000, 7200, 5400, 3600, 0 (dead)
This is where my magic cards shined. I had used Giant Soldier Of Stone and Shield And Sword. Later he had
4 traps which were wiped away by Heavy Storm. Other cards helped like Card Destruction and Fissure.
By 5400 it was oblivous that it was just another repeat.

FINAL MATCH!
Han Man (me) vs. Matt ( the better brother that beat me before )
1st Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 7700, 7500, 7400, 3800, 0 (dead)
Matt: 8000, 6300, 5300, 3900
This time he started up quickly and tried to kill me though I countered. It took him a while but then he
used Axe Of Despair on his monster ( dont remeber lol ). After that I was doomed. I put up a fight at least.

2nd Duel
Han Man (me): 8000, 6200, 4900, 4800, 4250
Matt: 8000, 5700, 5200, 4800, 3000, 0 (dead)
I was thinking about forfitting because if I won this match I would have to win at least 3 more duels and all I really
wanted was that Toon Summond Skull. I did this match just for fun. He had already got his Summond Skull out on
the field on his 2nd turn. Then I used my Giant Soldier and Shield And Sword Combo. Also I attacked with another
card also so you wont see that 800 loss in his life points. Later he got his Maha Vailo out with 2 of those equip cards
that increase his attack by 700 (not Stimpack), and a field that powers dark type by 500 attack and decreases dark type
by 400 in defense. So his La Jinn was 2300 and his Maha Vailo 3950. This was the point I was so glad that I had
Heavy Storm. It was magical. Later he had some more equiped monsters so I had to use Card Destruction and had to
discard my BEWD *sniff*, but then I played Dark Hole then La Jinn and attacked. He put a card faced down and I needed
one card (the perfect one at the right moment) Monster Reborn! Then I reborned my BEWD!!!!!! I attacked his face down monster
with La Jinn and attacked his life points with BEWD! After that I recieved my Toon Summond Skull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK so I got 2nd though I could have gotten 1st I prefer Toon Summond Skull over Gate Gaurdian!
