Unfortunately I do not have as many magic counters as I'd like, but it does very well and I like it. We'll get right down to it, the tournament I entered had around 12 people in it, it was single elimination, and anyone that payed the five bucks to enter got a tournament pack, and there were prizes of additional packs for 1st-4th place. The tournament started out with me being paired up with a kid named DUSTIN that tried to play Remove Trap in a chain with my trap hole. That sets the tone for this match. Round 1, FIGHT! (SEGA reference) Stephen vs. Dustin Ok this match started out with me getting a heavily defensive hand. I started out with a Nimble Momonga in defense mode. This kid attacked of course, and I put another one out onto the field with it's effect. I put down toll and that basically hurt him for a while in the game. He played Dian Keto early on to raise his life points, but he wasn't a match for the direct damage I was packing. I got to Just Desserts him and Princess of Tsurugi him for direct damage, but the final blow came when I used Snatch Steal to take one of his monsters, and had cannon soldier and (wall of illusion?) out on the field as well. That did a very hefty amount of damage... I think the only damage I took was from attacking using my own Toll. Stephen: 8000>9000>8000>7000 Dustin: 8000>7500>8500>7300>6300>5300>950>0 The next match was over in five turns. I counted. I basically put out Messenger of Peace out, he said crap and I just kep nailing him with cannon soldiers and jinzo #7, tributing them away at the end for the final blow. An incredibly easy match, almost too easy to be fun, but the kid was very cool! Stephen:8000>7900>7800>7700>7600>7500 Dustin: 8000>7000>5600>5100>3700>3200>2700>2200>1200>0 WINNER: ME Ok now I had some time to walk around, and I decided to free duel this kid who had a grudge against me. This kid pissed me off since he was 1. cocky 2. loud and 3. a user of mysterious puppetteer. Hate That Thing! I beat him anyways, though my LP dropped a ton since my Cyber Jar helped him get out his mysterious puppetteer. The 2nd round, the semifinals, brought me into a duel with one of the kids that is pretty good when he's playing me, mostly because of his heavy attack monsters + heavy storms. I HATE HEAVY STORM!!! PROHIBIT! Round 2: JEFF vs. Stephen I really can't tell what happened in this first match. somehow in the very first damage-dealing move, I took 3400, and I cannot figure out what from.I do remember somewhere in there he had a Magician of Faith equipped with 3 Malevolent Nuzzlers! Good Lord. I hated that, but somehow I managed to put the hurt on him twice for 2250 on two separate occasions, with a just desserts in there for good measure. I also had him down to 2500 with a toll out, and he attacked my cyber jar. bam everything was destroyed. He paid 500 to do it, and since he saw i had some real annoying defense monsters out he ended. I then summoned a cannon soldier out and threw everything away, after attacking first with a jinzo #7 with a black pendant attached to it. Woohoo. Stephen: 8000>4600 Jeff: 8000>5750>4750>2500>2000>1000>0 In the next match I did absolutely HORRIBLE! I don't even want to talk about it, I didn't even scratch him... disgusting. I think he had 2 summoned skulls out after 2 turns, via normal tribute for one, and Tribute to the Doomed/discard skull/monster reborn on the other... GROSS Jeff: 8000 Stephen>8000>3000>4000>5000>2300>1800>0 Ok, last match this round, I was kicking myself for sucking it up the last match so I decided to do everything ultra-fast. I stole his witch of the black forest, making her mine via snatch steal, and attached an axe of despair to her. I hit him hard with that onefor a quick 2100 and then we had to go to war. my TOLL was hurting me so much more than it hurt him. I still managed to have 2 jinzo #7's out on the field bringing the pain. once again cannon soldier finished this one. Stephen: 8000>6900>6400>5900>5600>4600>3600>3100>2600 Jeff: 8000>5900>4900>3900>2900>1500>500>0 WINNER: ME Ok phew, let's bring this to a close... man this thing is long, yowza! During the wait to go to the Finals, I find out my friend obtained a thousand eyes restrict, which I most desperately want. He wouldn't trade, what a chicken (niwatori?) I head to the finals after about a minute of stretching, to find out I face a guy that has good cards, but is normally a relatively simple win for me. Not this time. FINALS: GRANT vs. Stephen woohoo I'm thinking, score another #1 for the fat boys! but looks like Grant had some trouble waiting for me... he actually played a semi STALL deck!! !!!!! Well after about 6 plays of swords of revealing light between us in just the first match alone I was getting tired of it. ok so I annoyed him with toll and just desserts, but he hit me for like 300 because of something and i was still like sweet i've got this... plus I annoyed him with 2 nimble momongas to get my LP up to my 2nd highest yet, 9700. Then for some reason I started losing all that LP. a summoned skull took out something i forget what, and lajinn followed that up... actually no, a jirai gumo took out my sangan which was in attack mode. Then i got hit for another 2200 because of his gumo (blah) and he got it down so it was me 2700 him 150. Then he plays Giant Trunade, and I'm like pff what's he gonna do? so i don't magic jammer it, even though i could have, and he ends up monster-reborning my jinzo#7 and putting an axe of despair and malevolent nuzzler on it!!! so that hits me for 2200, leaving me with 500, I draw nothing. I die. 150 to 0! what a crap loss!! and it took 35 out of 40 minutes in our round to do that battle!! I had 5 minutes left to win!!! UGH Grant: 8000>7500>6500>6050>4050>3550>2050>3050>2050>1150>650>150 Stephen: 8000>7700>8700>9700>8900>7500>5700>3500>3000>2800>2700>500>0 Oh yeah now what can I do? he's gonna win by default, so I put it on hyperdrive, hoping to have the higher # of LP so i can force it to sudden death. Screw that, he hits me hard and fast with lajinn + axe of despair on his first turn, i get hammered with that, twice. it just whittles away, and toll hurts me. AGAIN. Down and down she goes, where she stopped, the judge called time. I was down in LP. I seriously felt so bad. But oh well, Grant deserved it he hasn't beaten me in tournament play until here so I was glad, plus I ended up getting cards he needed for his TP1 collection, and he got White Hole. Winner: GRANT I get 2nd, 3 packs, all contain rares, i keep the wonderful gust fan (booyah) and trade others to grant for a princess of tsurugi and a parasect paracide plus a Hayabusa Knight. Good enough for me. Better luck next season, look out. -Stephen Hansen Feel free to email me, I'm always online and if i am chances are i'm probably bored.
