OK, so it's my first tournament, and I've got no idea what's going on here, but I'm just going with the flow.

Duel 1
Me vs. Robert
Pretty Standard Beatdown deck, with the exception of the MechanicalChaser. Wow. This duel took FOREVER, as he figured out that attacking me does no good, so he just tried to stall for time. Unfortunately for him, I got out a ton of direct damage cards and took him out. He ended up winning the second match with a couple of Blue Eyes, but I finished him off with his own Change of Heart'd Mechanicalchaser.

Duel 2
Some kid who looked MUCH younger than he was.
OK, so this has no relevance, but this kid looked to be about 15 when apparently he was 21. Anyways, this was an even MORE standard Beatdown deck, which was funny 'cause he was WAY too cocky. I finished him pretty quick in the first match with about 2 Princess of Tsurugi and 2 Spear Cretins. Second match, he got SO mad at me, 'cause I finished him off with a Princess flip, tribute to my Cannon Soldier, then it sacrificed itself to do the final 500 damage. He was all like, "What, you ca'nt use it's effect more than once on a turn, and you can't tribute itself either!!!" Me-"Yeah, you can. Read the card. Does it say 'Once per turn'? No. You're done."

Duel 3
Me vs. a really little kid (maybe 7 or 8)
How this kid got into the semi-finals is beyond me, 'cause he really didn't grasp the game too well. His first move was to play an Immortal of Thunder. He was way too excited about his 5000 LP, and I just fissured it. He tried telling me he got 3000 LP just for playing his Griggle, untill I explained the card to him. On the other hand, his Gaurdian of the Throne Room did put up quite the fight, but in the end, I won with a bombardment of Tremendous fires.

Duel 4: Final Round
Me vs. Alan AKA Morocco
Yeah, so Morocco's my boy. We came up together and this was his first tourament as well, so we were just happy that on out first outing we tore everyone up. Anyways, Al plays an Exodia deck, which sucks for everyone else in the tourney. First match, he got Exodia, boom I'm done. Second round, after I used my Solemn Judgement to kill half my LP, he busted out a Raigeki and killed my LP with a With of the Black Forest and a Sangan. Ouch.

So all I got for coming in second was one tournament pack - just like everyone else who participated. Alan got 4 packs. I got pure crap. Elf's Light. Woohoo.

And time for Props and Slops:
Props:
  • To me for getting to the finals in my first tourney
  • To Morocco for winning his first tourney
  • To all the little kids who, after seeing myself and Morocco play, started hitting up everyone in the store for pieces of exodia and Giant Germs

Slops:
  • For that kid getting all bent out of shape over my Cannon Soldier
  • For little kids not leaning how to play BEFORE arriving
  • For the shop for not giving anything for second
  • For my tournament pack for sucking.
