(I wish the store guys would count. Those lazy bastards). prizes: First place: $20 store credit Second Place: $10 store credit Third Place: $5 store credit This is my fourth tournament and my second tourney report. I changed my deck to a Last Will deck last week and it seemed to do well against the people I normally play against, so I decided to use it for the tournament. This time a whole bunch of people from my (semi) local store showed up. Thanks to Last Will for his awesome CCG tips which are more like articles. # of Cards: 42 Monsters: 21 Summoned Skull x2 Sangan x2 Witch of the Black Forest x2 Hane-Hane x2 Cyber Jar Man-Eater Bug x3 Wall of Illusion x2 Magician of Faith Cannon Soldier White Magical Hat Karate Man Masked Sorcerer La Jinn x2 Magic: 12 Swords of Revealing Light Monster Reborn Fissure x2 Change of Heart Heavy Storm Dark Hole Rageki Last Will x3 Share the Pain x3 Trap: 8 Trap Hole x2 Waboku x2 Ultimate Offering Seven Tools of the Bandit Mirror Force Side Deck: Barrel Dragon Card Destruction Soul Release Summoned Skull Dark Zebra x2 Soul Exchange Hane-Hane Robbin Goblin Trap Hole Fissure Tribute to the Doomed Giant Trunade Delinquent Duo Fake Trap (I can pretty much turn my deck back into my old beatdown with my side deck) The tournament was played best out of three and the top four or whatever would go on to the finals where it was single elimination. Round one: Me vs. Robert (from local store) I can't believe I had to play him first round again. I went in to my trusty side deck and pulled out Card Destruction and Soul Release. Switched them with two Share the Pains. That was a tough decision. Duel one: I can't really remember how that game went. He never did any real damage to me. All I remember was I had a Cyber Jar on the field and a Cannon Soldier in my hand. I flipped Cyber Jar, got out four monsters (lucky me), laid down my Cannon Soldier for my normal summon, and since he was only at 2300 I tributed all my monsters for 2500 direct damage. Winner: Me Duel two: We just kept attacking each other. His Exodia never gets out. This was a really good game. He was down to like 3000 life points and he brought me down to 200, he would have won had he not RAN OUT OF CARDS HAHAHAHA! Sorry. Winner: Me Round two: Me vs. Matt Matt is a cool kid. He is fun to play against and runs a mediocre beatdown deck. Duel one: I was using my Last Will Strategy quite well this game. I beat him pretty quickly with Karate Man that everyone kept laughing at until I used him for 2000 direct damage and then bring out a monster in my end phase with Last Will. Winner: Me Duel two: All I remember was I used a Mirror Force and then killed him with a Sangan. Winner: Me Round three: Me vs. Ben By now I was 2/0 on my rounds, 4/0 on all my duels. Ben is one of the best players from my local store, so I figured that these were going to be some close games. We both had the same record so the heat was on. These games would get one of us in the finals. Duel one: He was using a pretty strong beatdown deck with Maha Vailo, Megamorph, and Axe of Despair, but my deck is pretty much and answer to beatdowns. When he would equip his monsters with all that crap I would either Waboku or Mirror Force and take his monster out eventually anyway. I won this game with 7500 life points left. I think I lost the 500 using Ultimate Offering. Winner: Me Duel two: I don't know. I think he loses because he has too many equip cards or something. I won this game with 6000 points left. Winner: Me ( We played just for fun after this, he got all his Axe of Despair, Nuzzler, and other stuff on a monster and did like 5000 direct to me. A few turns later I won :D ) FINALS Round one: Me vs. Chia Last tournament it was down to me and Chia for first, and he won, so I wasn't sure how my Last Will strategy was going to work against him. Duel one: My deck was working awesome. The people at Pendragon have never really seen a Last Will Deck before, I blew Chia away with 7000 life points to spare. Winner: Me Duel two: This duel took a lot longer than the previous one, Chia started to play a little more defensively. I ended up running out of cards. I can't believe that. Winner: Chia Duel three: This was a really close game. We both were getting low on life before Chia ended up finishing me off :(. Like I said before, this dude is good. Winner: Chia Oh well I ended up playing Kirk for third place. These games were really pissing me off because they took forever. It was like 9:30 when I finally got out of there. He by some miracle won both duels. Crap that sucks. Place: Fourth (screwed out of third) Props: For the guy who beat Chia to get First. For me having the best record in the elimination round. 6/0 baby! To the store for giving away good prizes and having a good entrance fee this tourney. To Josh for pulling an awesome combo off and dealing out 5000 direct with Summoned Skulls on someone. To me for representing the Last Will deck and smashing several people thoroughly with it. To Tim for bringing all those people from Shawano down. Slops: For me taking fourth, which sucks. To Tim who has practically every in the game card but never wins. :) For Josh losing a game and not making the finals because time ran out. To me for losing to Kirk for third. (I will never get over that) For not getting any material goods out of this tournament. (getting fourth and not making any trades because it was 9:30 and there was nobody in the store by the time we were done) To Steve who didnŐt know you could only have two Witch of the Black Forest in a deck and got disqualified.
