Subject: Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament Report Okay, so the computer I'm on won't let me take my deck file and use it as an attachment, so if you don't mind... I'll do it the old-fashioned way! Here's another report from Alia Samson (I am a guy) "White Side of the Yin-Yang. Yami Unknown. Warp 2. Edmonton.txt" This basically an all LIGHT deck (with one or two DARK monsters) compared to my Shining Water Deck. This LIGHT deck is so powerful, it makes GOD HIMSELF bow to me!! OK, that's a bit extreme. Date of Tournament: Oct. 27 # of people: 8 The Cards: 1x Blue Eyes White Dragon (Main power) [3000/2500] 1x Hyozanryu (Main stall) [2100/2800] 1x Wingweaver (Second-main power) [2750/2400] 1x Gyakutenno Megami [1800/2000] 1x Neo the Magical Swordsman [1700/1000] 2x Guardian of the Throne Room [1650/1600] 1x Mystical Elf (Stall) [800/2000] 2x Ancient Elf [1450/1200] 2x Hoshiningen (Ups LIGHT attack power and downs DARK power) [500/550] 2x Unhappy Maiden (Waboku like effect) [0/100] 1x Ceremonial Bell (Stall; see hand) [0/1850] 1x Goddess with the Third Eye (Substitutes Summoned Skull for Black Skull Dragon) [1200/1000] 1x Sanga of the Thunder (Stall) [2600/2200] 1x Red Eyes Black Dragon (The black of the white yin-yang; Power) [2400/2000] 1x Dark Magician (ditto; Power) [2500/2100] Fusion Monsters: 1x Black Skull Dragon [3200/2500] Magic: 3x Sword of Deep-Seated 2x Chorus of Sanctuary (Ups defense points for defending monsters) 2x Messenger of Peace (lets me whoop but with under 1500 Attack monsters) 1x Polymerization 2x Luminous Spark (ups LIGHT monsters attack, lower defense) 1x Silver Bow and Arrow (Ups Fairy-Types attack/defense) 2x Book of Secret Arts (Ups Spellcaster-Types/Dark Magician's attack/defense) 2x Dragon's Treasure (Ups Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Hyozanryu, and Black Skull Dragon's attack/defense) 2x Premature Burial 1x Monster Reborn 3x Mystical Space Typhoon Traps: 3x Waboku 2x Trap Hole 2x Just Desserts This deck focuses on beefing up LIGHT element monsters, but also gives DM, REBD, and BSD some freedom to attack as well. It's a stall deck (with Hyozanryu, Mystical Elf, Ceremonial Bell) and beatdown deck (Dark Magician, Blue Eyes, Wingweaver, Red Eyes). This tournament was basically to see who would get the Thousand Eyes-Restrict (in Japan, it's called the Thousand Eyes-Sacrifice), and this is how the tournament starts: Me vs. Justin Dowie vs. Linda Cristan vs. Tomoko Jacques vs. Mark Match 1: against Justin (played the EXACT opposite of me) He plays on his side of the field Mystic Plasma Zone to boost his monsters (Which isn't funny because he had a Shadow Ghoul and a Wall Shadow out). Then, to counter him, I played Luminous Spark and my Blue Eyes to destroy his Shadow Ghoul. Then on another turn, he uses a Just Desserts on me to take off 1000 life points on me because I had a face down monster, (Thanks alot , Dark Magician). But then, to make good use of his Mystic Plasma Zone to power DM and destroy him. The turns after, I took chunks out of his life points. The next round, I won with cards like Just Desserts, Sanga, and Red Eyes. I finished him off with a Black Skull Dragon attacking his poor defenseless Tri-Horned Dragon. He surrendered after. Match 2: against Dowie (remember him) Fool, I learned my lesson well. In the middle of the duel, he had 4 face down monsters and used (you guessed it) Jigen Bakudan to devastate me, or so he thought, for I played a Just Desserts on him before Jigen, and I used Waboku to block the Bakudan damage. Then, when I had Blue Eyes, WingWeaver, Red Eyes, and Dark Magician, I played Monster Reborn to use Dowie's Jigen Bakudan and blow up my monsters and his life points. The next round went pretty much the same. FInal Match: against Mark (he's such a nerd) This tall black guy is such a nerd, and always bossing me around in Cooking Class. Anyway, he played the Black Illusion Ritual to play Relinquished, but I Mystical Space Typhooned his ass and negated Relinquished. So he plays Barrel Dragon, and I counter with Blue Eyes. Launcher Spider, and I attack with Guardian of the Throne Room (upped his attack by 1000 with SoD-S and LS). Another Barrel Dragon, the effect doesn't go as well as he predicted, and Blue Eyes White Dragon annhilates him. The next round goes like this: I don't have any Space Typhoons, so he gets to actually summon Relinquished. But he can't absorb any of my monsters, because I have no monsters on my side, and opn the next turn, I play Hoshiningen, to kill Relinquished. Then it went down hill from there... well, for him anyway. Then he played a Japanese card called Meteor Dragon to attack, telling me that it can kill up to three monsters on the field, and just swipes my Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, and WingWeaver to my discard pile. In this tournament, you can't play Foreign Cards, and so he is disqualified. He lied about the effect of Meteor Dragon, and I didn't get to see the actual card. Now, I'm the proud owner of Thousand Eyes-Restrict. But... I don't have Relinquished, or Thousand Eyes Idol, so I sold it for a good $50!
