Total Cards: 40

My deck lacks true strategy, but I'm working on it. The basic idea is a sort of beatdown without staples like Jinzo and Rageiki. This is my first Yugioh tournament so I didn't really know what to expect. Before it started I duled a guy about my age named Ervin, not knowing how easy it would be. I swept him 8000-0, all he did was play defense monsters.

Round 1: John (me) vs. Jared
Duel 1:
Me-8000
Jared-8000-5500-3700-1900-100-0
Duel 2:
Me-8000-6700
Jared-8000-7800-5800-0

This guy had a huge deck, must have been about 80 cards. Both duels went the same way, he used 7 Completed and Malevolent Nuzzler to power up Overdrive. From there I used my own equips on La Jinn/S. Skull and a well timed De-Spell to finish him. No Sweat.

2-0

Between rounds there was an hour wait while they did the pairings, so I watched some other duels. My brother had his butt kicked in the first round, which was  a little unfair since he had to play someone about 6 years older than him.

Round 2: John vs. Dan (Judge/Head guy)
Duel 1:
Me-8000-7500-3700-3200-1300-0
Dan-8000
Duel 2:
Me-8000-7000-6000-4500-5000-4450-3250-1450-0
Dan-8000-7500-7000

What luck, I'm paired against possibly the best duelist there, and he's also the judge.
Once again, both duels went pretty much the same way. His key cards were Gravity Bind, Giant Germ, and Nobleman of the Crossout. I really didn't stand a chance, but I tried my best to no avail.  The only damage he ever took was from his Tremendous Fires.
2-2

So I'm eliminated (but I had to leave anyway).
The store was VERY unorganized, and I definatly wouldn't recommend entering any of their tournaments. There were tons of little kids running around beginning you to trade them, which was just plain annoying. Time for props and slops:

Props:
-My dad for paying the entry fee and buying me a coke
-You for reading my report
-Brett Favre for pulling Green Bay vs. San Francisco

Slops:
Too many to list
