Ok now.  I spend everyday refining and improving my deck little by little.  When I got my 2nd GFA that Friday b4 the tourney I looked at my deck really carefully.  It was complete.  It was ready for a serious tourney.  So I went to Excalibur comics with my friend Eric.  When I was practice duelling with him b4 the tourney started, I knew I was going to do good.  Finally after a long time, I feel that Eric and I are again equal in strength.  Anywayz, here are the prizes:

1st - $50 store credit

2nd - $30 store credit

3rd - $20 store credit

1st Round

Raymond vs. Chinese Kid with Beatdown

1st duel – he started off with a la jinn in attack mode.  Wide open I quickly took advantage with my magic cards and suddenly I had monster advantage, card advantage and my life points were untouched.  I already knew I won.  And I did in a couple more turns.

2nd duel -  same thing.  He had a decent beatdown but it couldn’t touch mine

2nd round

Raymond vs. Nick

1st duel – this guy is pretty good.  He was missing a few key cards but overall he had a very strong beatdown.  It was exciting to play him.  Lol.  It started off like this.  I went first.  Drew delinquent duo and used it.  I discarded his RAIGEKI! Haha he made a big reaction it was really funny.  He was friendly and all but I got the advantage and beat him that duel.

2nd duel – he had a big start on me going first.  After 4 or 5 turns I was amazed to see my life points below 3000 and a clear field with him 3 monsters all 1800 attackers.  I stalled with a wall and swords but it was too late.  2nd duel belonged to nick.

3rd duel – Now I went serious.  I played aggressively and smart.  I won this one pretty good.

3rd round

Raymond vs. 10 year old kid with strong beatdown

1st duel – Man what is it with beatdowns in this tourney.  Everyone kept one.  Good thing mine is stronger than theirs.  I only pack one bug and one mag.  Because of nobleman of crossout.  It really devastates their decks but doesn’t really hurt mine.  Anywayz I was practice duelling with this kid b4 the tourney.  He was good but he’s no problem. I beat him here pretty good.

2nd duel – same thing as previous one.  I won this one using jinzo plus litter removal attacking a clear field to win.  I love that combo.

Finals

This is a threeway final between myself, my friend eric and the guy who one the turney last week.  I think that’s day he was ranked number 1 in Canada and 2nd in North America!!  Wow!! That’s all I got to say.

Me vs. Eric

1st duel – I love duelling eric.  Not only is he a very very tough duelist but he’s a good friend so theres no nervousness in the duel that I usually have when in a tourney.  it’s just another duel like the ones in ur basement eh eric?? Lol.  Ye well he beat me in the first one good.  I had no chance.

2nd duel – he drew 3 man eaters at his first draw and asked me if he could reshuffle.  I sad no being the prick I am but it ended up winning him the game or giving him a good advantage at least.  I used crossout on his facedown with it being a maneate but the other ones aren’t removied from the deck becuz theyre in his hand.  That sucked.  He ended up pulling a good combo to beat me.  It was very close though

Eric vs. Bantok(very high ranked duelist!!)

1st duel and 2nd duel – I forgot who won what but I know they went 1-1 and went to a 3rd duel.

3rd duel – This oen was very very long.  Bantok thinks of his moves very thoroughly and uses a different style deck.  His deck kills you slowly without you noticing.  Lol.  Anywayz, he did make one Big amateur like mistake against duelling Eric.  In one of the final moves in the duel, HE TRIED TO SNATCH STEAL ERIC’S GEARFRIED!!  Eric couldn’t let it go and let him play it again.  He then attacked with jurai gumo which he lost the flip too.  His life points went down by half and he gave up when he ended his turn.  Eric yells, “ WWWWHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”

Eric has just won but I still had to duel Bantok for 2nd.  These are the times when side decks are really essential.

2nd place duel

Raymond vs. Bantok

1st duel – A long drawn out duel and a really complicated one.  Ilost track of the moves so all I gotta say is that I won this one.

2nd duel – he got the advantage on me and my summoned skull was going back and forth between him and me.  lol first I sac for it.  Then he snatch steals it.  A couple turns later I use imperial order deactivating snatch steal for the time being givin me my skull back.  Then I discard IO and skull went bacxk to him.  He finally comboed and killed off my life points.

3rd duel – This is when my side deck cards came to work.  I packed 2 typhoons, 2 heavy and 2 trap masters and a prohibiton.  This was a long ass duel but ill take you to the final stages.  My turn he had a dream clown attack mode. Wall of illusion in defense mode and barrel dragon in attack mode.  I snatch steal his barrel and flipped to kill his wall.  I got it and then I attacked his dreamclown then sacs his barrel for my jinzo his turn. He trunades premature burial barrel and attacks. I typhoon his premature burial call of the haunted jinzo summons fish and then he gives up. I won 2nd
