This was my first tourny since the people at the store decided to have tournements instead of meetings.There were a lot of people in this tourny and the prizes were 2 of each kind of pack.I did pretty good for my first tourney.

Total cards- 45

Monsters- 24

3x Harpies Brother (essence of beatdown)

3x La jinn (see above)

3x 7 colored fish (see above)

2x Battle ox (need`em cause people here play a lot of monster removal)

1x Cyber jar (a jar for when im in a jam)

2x Dark elf (good stall)

2x Man-eater bug (he`s out for blood)

2x Walls of illusions (good stall and good effect)

2x Magician of faith ( I like rageki)

2x Summoned skull (see harpies brother

1x Buster blader (good against all these little kids who play blue-eyes

Magics- 15

1x Rageki (the mother of all staples)

1x Swords of revealing light (to bad its been resricted to one but I only had one anyways)

3x Rush recklessly (reinforcements on speed)

1x Change of heart (I`ll just take that)

2x Tribute to the doomed (good in combo`s with monster reborn)

1x Fissure (got to compare with everyone elses monster removal

1x Monster reborn (looking for its counter parts call of the haunted and premature burial)

1x Pot of greed (im greedy)

2x Malevolent nuzzler (I want axe of dispair)

1x Paralyzing potion (works well in tight spots)

1x Giant trunade (see above)

Trap- 6

3x Trap hole (gone down the hole)

1x mirror force (right back at ya and then some)

1x Dust tornado (until I get something better)

1x Magic drain (see above)

After it took them 15 minutes to sort out the brackets the 2 best players I know where but into a different brackets than me.

Me vs cliff (match 1)

7200 to 0

This was easy as he couldent barley get anything out and when he did I played sorl. He got out a judgeman but it backfired when I played rush recklessly with my harpies brother. He did ookazi me though.

(match 2)

4300 to 0

This was a bit tougher. He played toonworld but as soon as he did I magic drained it and he had already set his magics so he couldent stop it. He then change of hearted my face down wall of illusions and tributed it for a beast of talwar. He hit me directly with that and a high tide gyojin, I ragekied those and eventuall beat him down.

I then went over to see who else had won and in the other bracket my best friend tyler had won and so did james(they were the other best people I was talking about) then I looked to see who I was gonna face and it was poke(named after poke`mon)

Me vs poke (match 1)

4400 to 0

poke is real good and has some of the best cards but has to big a deck,but I was still worried. He started off by playing some magic/traps down and set a monster. I layed trap hole and battle ox and attacked his card. Of course its man-eater bug and then he used heavy storm and cleared our sides. He hit me directly with neo and set a few magic/trap. I then set mirror force and used la jinn to attack his neo. He eventuall got out his own buster blader but I stopped it with paralyzing potion and a dark elf equipped with malevolent nuzzler to stop it. I then beat him down.

(match 2)

6200 to 0

this was easy since he got no monster cards until he got a cyber jar but I used mirror force when he attacked me with he monsters and obliterated him on my turn.

Me vs chris

7850 to 0

chris is really good, he carries a fusion beatdown but has to many cards in his deck to make the fusion part work to well. I don’t remember alot about this one but I got out a summoned skull and he got out skull knight and killed it and I think I tribute to the doomed and and then tore him apart.

Mean while I got a dr.pepper in the vending machine out side

The Finals

Me vs james

2100 to 0

like I thought I would face james in the final duel. He beat my best friend tyler on his way to the finals so I had to beat him. This one went fast. We both play really good beatdown, we really just smaked each other back and forth with our tough cards until I got him down to 1200. But he then sacrificed a card to bring out jinzo( the only person I know to have it)he killed one of my monster and then I layed some a monster to stall while I drew a good card, on that turn I drew a mirror force but you know, and I had already used sorl,rageki,and both my magician of faith, he killed my face down card and set a monster in defense, that was his fatal mistake, I then drew change of heart and took a chance on the face down card, it was cyber jar, so I then won.

(Match 2 and 3)

This is getting pretty long so to make a long story short he beat me 8000 to 0 and 4900 to 0 using summoned skulls.

Well I did good good on my first tourny making it to the finals, I plan on making improvements to my deck so I can beat him next time.
