I lost to Bandit Keif, who went on to win the tourney again. That was the second time in a row that the Disruptor has fallen to the “cool FX deck”. The Disruptor had a purpose today, and that was to keep winning until I faced Bandit Keif. And I knew that if I won, he would be there waiting. I played a quick two duels against Brandon (Burn Deck). I won the first one and he won the second. We didn’t have time to finish the third since the tournament was about to start. My next match was against Zeeno (beatdown). He’s one of the top duelist there, but he seems to have bad luck. Cyber Jar flips always hurt him, and when he draws cards from his deck, it’s never what he wants. When we play, it usually goes to three duels with me barely winning with LP down below 250. Today, I beat him two in a row, the first one with me still at 5050. He opens up with MEB/Skull combo and hits me. I use Change of Heart and keep hitting from there. Second duel, Messenger of Peace stalled for seven turns, and I won with 113 LP left. Sooner or later I had to duel Bandit Keif and this is it. I mention to him before the duel that I have never lost three in a row to anybody without me winning at least one match. For me to lose three in a row (both keeping the same deck) would mean ownage. That’s right, ownage! If I lost this week (for the third time), it would mean that cool FX deck owns Disruptor. First duel Bandit Keif took quickly. I was only able to bring him down to 3950, and he was able to re-use Sangan’s effect about 5 times. You figure it out! Second duel, I decided that I had to play aggressive to win. I go first and play Sangan face down, he goes and does the same. I use Change of Heart on my turn, summon another Sangan, and attack for 3000 LP. The Lord of D himself, Mr. Clown, said it was like the Shonen Jump Blue Eyes himself jumped through a warp hole and attacked Bandit Keif’s Heart Points. I was able to keep him unsteady and continue the assault. 1 each now. Third and deciding duel. Very close and intense. I drew Jirai Gumo early in the game, and had to use him. Well, I lost the flip and lost 4000 LP. From that point on, I knew that I had to play extremely well to make up for it. I remember there were 3 cyber jar flips. I was down to 825 LP, and he had 1650. I had two monsters in attack mode, giant soldier and invader. He had no monsters on the field and it was his turn. Can you smell what the Rock is cookin? I did, I was smelling victory. Next thing I know, he plays shallow grave, brings back a monster, tributes it for Inzo, and Inzo attacks my Invader for my remaining 825. What what what? Ownage, it appears that the cool FX deck owns Disruptor. Bandit Keif collects his prize, and I humbly asked for a rematch. I just had to know if I could beat him or not. We play another match, and again went to three duels. I win first, he wins second, and the third was again close. I’m at 500, he’s at 550. I had some monsters on the field and I attack his face down Spear Cretin. The effect goes off and I was able to bring back a Cannon Soldier and launch for the win. This was strange. I won and the Disruptor finally beat his deck. But since I lost during the tournament and this was for fun, it doesn’t really count. The good thing is that it gave me some confidence, which is what every duelist should have. It’s all good! What’s up! to the hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh! gamers at a World of Books, keeping the game going.
