Deck: Burn Baby Burn Name: Daniel Bacon Location: Home Field Sportscards and Gaming Where: Pensacola, Florida Participants: 32 December 14th, 2002 My first tournament getting to use this deck, and third tournament report on Pojo. I've had some problems with this deck, but, I hope I've worked out the kinks in it. Lots of beatdown decks in my area, so I thought this might work well. My deck for this tournament included: -Monsters- 3x Giant Germ 3x Giant Soldier of Stone 2x Mystical Elf 1x Banisher of the Light 2x Cannon Soldier 1x Cyber Jar 1x Kiseitai Total 13 -Magic- 3x Tremendous Fire 3x Ookazi 2x Burning Land 2x Messenger of Peace 1x Chain Energy 1x Toll 1x Pot of Greed 1x Swords of Revealing Light Total 13 -Trap- 3x Gravity Bind 3x Just Desserts 2x Magic Drain 1x Magic Jammer 1x Mirror Force 1x Waboku 1x Minor Goblin Official 1x Solemn Wishes This tournament started an hour early this week. I was so tired going in, but, so was everyone else. I almost fell asleep before the tournament. This deck worked pretty well... I hope to improve it for next week. ROUND 1 OPPONENT: NINJA MAN (BRANDON) DECK: ALMOST A BEATDOWN Well, Ninja man is o.k. He doesn't plain suck, but, he's not that good. He was kind of mad after the first match and I killed him. Burning Land was my best friend in both matches. I used 2 of them to wither down his life, played toll, played chain energy, and just used direct damage with gravity bind out to make him suffer. ROUND 2 OPPONENT: REDNECK DECK: UH CAN'T REMEMBER... I THINK BEATDOWN/LIFE GAIN. Redneck annoyed me. He kept using Dian Keto/Solemn Wishes to gain lots of life in the first match and I wasn't sure if I could beat him. In the end, it was my own burning land that destroyed me. He almost decked me, he had me down to 2 cards. In the second match, I got lots of direct damage cards and was able to knock his life to 0. Same with match 3. Redneck is one of those people that have a very annoying voice... you know what I mean. ROUND 3 OPPONENT: GLENN DECK: THIS WEEK, IT WAS A BEAT-THE H*** OUT OF YOU-DOWN Glenn is the kind of person who buys thousands of cards, and makes a new deck everyweek. Well, he is always pretty confident, and pretty cocky. He knows the rules pretty good, but, he slips a lot. Well, this week, Glenn had 3 Polymerizations in his deck, with a Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon and a Black Skull Dragon fusions. The first duel was pretty ugly. He kept getting rid of my monsters and kept Giant Trunading my m/ts. I was pretty sure it was over... But, in number 2, it was all different. He didn't seem to draw Giant Trunade. I kept 2 burning lands out, with a solemn wishes and a gravity bind. Banisher of the Light prevented him from reborning anything good or MOFing them back. He couldn't stop my direct damage attacks at all. It was pure sweet honey. Everyone was suprised Glenn has lost. I thought he was going to cry... He kept demanding rematches after the tournament... And even during the tournament. He also said my deck sucks... But, hey, at least I didn't lose to him. ROUND 4 OPPONENT: cHARLIE DECK: EXODIA Charlie, I know you are going to read this aren't you? Well I HATE YOU! Haha. Well, I didn't even really get a chance to play. He got Exodia out on his second and third turns during the duels. Not even worth telling. UGLY! And the way I was playing, I think I could have beaten Anthony in the finals! Well, this was the farthest I had ever made it in a tournament. Glenn may hate me, but, that's his problem. I played well and got messed up sometimes... But, I did do good. Charlie man, why did you have to win?! I was ready and waiting for Anthony to try to cheat so I could win... Oh well maybe next time. Time for the Props and Slops... PROPS: To charlie for winning the tourney. To Bobby for pulling another Jinzo. To Poor Glenn for losing to me. To Anthony for losing to Charlie. SLOPS: To some short kid who wouldn't trade me his Polymerization. To Glenn for whining. To Bobby for trading his Jinzo to Joe and not me! Well, i'll be back next week to hopefully beat Glenn again!
