Hi again everyone.   This is the comeback of my Last Will deck, as the last tournament report I posted was a beatdown disruption.  Thanks a lot to Last Will who helped me with my deck and “unconfused” me.

This tournament I brought Josh and Tim with me.  Josh is my friend who I started my Yu-Gi-Oh quest with, and Tim is a buddy who works at All Sports Collectables in Shawano.  This is probably the most fun I have ever had at a tournament so I want to give a props in advance to those two.  The day before at All Sports Josh took first, Tim took second, and I took third, so we were going to tear things up at this tournament.

Round one: Me vs. Josh

Okay, this is this was the worst pairing I have ever had first round.  The stupid guy working there paired us all up by reading down the list where we signed up on.  Josh singed up right after me, so we had to play each other first round.  How stupid.  Josh was pissed to say the least and I was somewhat disgruntled.  Josh runs a super powered Maha Vailo deck with a lot of hand disruption.

Duel one:  He was doing horrible to start off, I took him down to 900 life points before he made a super comeback with his beatdown monsters.  He got Robbin Goblin going and from then on he had the game.  Winner: Josh

Duel two:  I had a lot of small monsters out on the field in this round.  I only had 1950 life points left, most likely because he didn’t really get his Axe of Despairs out.  Winner: Me

Duel three.  Same thing as the last duel, I got my monsters out and attacked directly.  I had four >1500 atk monsters out at the end of the game, one of them being snatch stole from him. I had 7900 life points in the end.  Winner: Me

Round two: Me vs. David

I think David was pretty confident about going up against me.  Before the tournament he was listening to me talk to Tim and Josh.  I was talking about my deck and he must have thought it sucked or something because I heard him say “YES!” when we were paired up.  I just laughed.  David runs a Relinquished deck.  Relinquished doesn’t really do well against my deck, especially with all the hand disruption in it.

Duel one:  I went first and drew no monsters.  He went and summoned his Senju of a Thousand Hands.  I’m like, “oh great he’s going to get out Relinquished and attack one of my 1000 attack monsters with my own 1000 attack monsters…”  He attacked me with it and I went.  I still had no monsters for some reason.  He went, set a monster, and attacked with Senju again.  I finally drew a monster.  I played Raigeki to destroy his two, summoned like a Sangan or something (can’t remember exactly what), activated Robbin Goblin and proceeded to destroy his hand.  Near the end of this duel he had no cards in his hand, I had a Witch of the Black Forest, White Magical Hat, and Sangan down attacking.  Fun.  Winner: Me

Duel two:  If he hadn’t used Confiscation early in the game, he wouldn’t have lost QUITE as early.  He used it when I had two Last Wills and a Monster Reborn in my hand.  He took out Monster Reborn.  I then proceeded to thank him.  In the first few turns I had a Swords of Revealing Light down, then I tribute Summoned a Summoned Skull, used Last Will to get out White Magical Hat, and won two turns later attacking his life points directly.  I had 8000 life points left in the end.  Winner: Me

Round three: Me vs. Kirk

Kirk is always fun at tournaments.  He runs the strangest deck I have ever seen.  He runs Kuribo, Waboku’s, and three Nimble Momongas… ?

Duel one:  This one went kind of fast as most of my games do.  In the last turn of the game I managed to get Summoned Skull, Witch of the Black Forest, Dark Elf, and Sangan out.  He had a face-down monster so I played Last Will just in case of a Cyber Jar.  I attacked with Witch, and destroyed his Magician of Faith.  I attacked with the rest of my monsters and won with 6000 life points left.  Winner: Me

Duel two:  This game sucked.  Kirk put me through like 5000 turns of Swords of Revealing Light, and used his stupid Kuribo on my attacks.  In the end of the game I had Two cards left in my deck, and he got both of his only attacking monsters out (Summoned Skull), and won by attacking.  Winner: Kirk

Duel three:  This game was to make up for the last one.  This game went ultra-fast, just how I like it.  I got out my little attacking monsters early and did him a lot of direct damage.  I won with 7900 life points left.  Winner: Me

Round Four – SEMI FINALS:  Me vs. Lucas

Ughh, sorry to say this kid was annoying as hell.  This is the first time I have ever seen him and I have already given him the title of Pendragon’s Bo (read my All Sports tournament report).  At least he doesn’t run Nimble Momonga.  He plays with a beatdown with some annoyances like Giant Soldier of Stone and other things.

Duel one:  He got his beatdown thing going, unfortunately, and took me down to 1850 life points. Then I destroyed him.  Winner: Me

Duel two:  I don’t know what the hell happened here.  What a flop on my part.  I had to get around his stupid Giant Soldier of Stone, which stalled  me for a little bit, then he got ahead and won with 6000 left.  Winner: Lucas

Duel three:  Just how I like it, I get out a whole bunch of monsters to attack with while he has none :), but then again I think everyone likes it that way…  I won this duel with 8000 life points left.  Winner: Me

Duel Five – SEMI FINALS: Me vs. Tim

All three of us, Tim, Josh, and Me made it to the Semi-Finals.  This was my payback for Tim beating me the day before.  Today Tim was using a Maha Vailo Beatdown.

Duel one:  This game went ultra-fast.  He NEVER got monsters on the field.  Actually he did, but only like twice and I destroyed them right away :).  In the end it was just another win with a bunch of monsters on my side of the field.  I think he did make a dent in my life points though.  Winner: Me

Duel two:  Same.  This game had speed written all over it.  I got my monsters out and attacked and attacked some more.  One time I attacked and Tim said, “Okay, that’s 3000 damage to me, I lose a card out of my hand and you get to draw one.”  Sorry Tim.  Not really.  I won with 8000 life points left.  Winner: Me

Duel Six – for first: Me vs. Kirk

I don’t even know how Kirk got in the finals, but he did.  Unfortunately for him he had to leave and forfiet for first place.   I get two packs and a Magician of Faith. Yay.  At least I finnally took first at Pendragon.

Place: First

Props:

To Tiny Tim for being such a trooper when he fell down.

For Me, Tim, and Josh for tearing Pendragon apart.

For the larger turnout this tournament.

For me getting a Jinzo.

To the guy with the Relinquished deck for not being too sore of a loser.

To the chick in the car we saw picking her nose – because it was really funny.

Slops:

To getting paired up with Josh first round.

To Pendragon’s Bo.

To Kirk having to leave.

To the Plymoth Duster for being such a sad excuse for a car.
