Round 1: Me (Bandit Keif) vrs. Nick

I’ve played Nick a lot during the past weeks, he is one of the Advanced bracket regulars at a world of books and is pretty much there every time I go play. He’s a good player but lacks confidence. He thinks hes going to lose all time. Well today was no different.

Nick : 8000 – 4850 – 3050 – 650 - 0

Bandit Keif : 8000 – 6200 – 5750

This is pretty much how both duels went (above is a speculation) He hits me with beatdown monsters I change of heart his beatdown monsters and hit him with it then fire it off with Cannon Soldier or Tribute it for Android Psycho Shocker and make some big hits.

Round 2: Me (Bandit Keif) vrs. Brandon

This guy has a good burner and is one of the Advanced bracket regulars at the world of books. I play him a lot at tournaments and he burns my life points low with all the burn cards he has in his deck. All I remember from this duel was that it took HELLA long with interesting cyber jar flips.

Brandon : 8000 – 5600 – 3200 – 800 - 0

Bandit Keif : 8000 - 7300 – 5300 – 3300 - 2400 – 1500

My Cannon Soldier came through for me on the first duel, single handedly winning by firing multiple monster bullets at Brandon like he was some terrorist from the DE DUST level on counterstrike. That’s right! COUNTERSTRIKE! Hahaha. The second duel had like 3 cyber jar flips! Yes 3! I lost my line of concentration when I got my 13th card in my hand. 13 cards would have been fine but it wasn’t my turn, so his huge hand (from all the cyber jars) beat me. The third duel Android Psycho Shocker kicked some ass (read his report – he even says it left him spinnin)

Round 3 – the tournament of gods (predetermined. me vrs. My sister)

Seeing that the God of Obelisk is in Pacifica with Alexis (he wanted to show off) I put into my deck the God of Osiris, and into Mai’s deck the God of Ra. Strangely enough a god card came out every duel we had. Heres how it went.

Mai : 7000-6000-4600-4100-1300-300

Me : 6200-5700-4300-3800-3700-3600-3500-3400-3300-3200-3100-3000-2150-2050-1100-1000-900-800 DEAD

On the fourth turn Mai used Raigeki to clear my field. I saw that she had two 1800 hitters and a 1700 hitter aimed directly at my life points. Little did she know I had a mirror force waiting for her monsters (she had no counter traps down). I wait for the attack but it doesn’t come. I see her put 2 monsters into the graveyard as a tribute and I expect a Barrel Dragon or something, but no, she takes the last monster and tributes it! It’s a God card! No other monster requires 3 tributes! So the God of RA was summoned, taking the attack and defense of the 3 that were used to summon it RA was an invincible 5300. I look at the Sun of God Dragon RA and think “damn  Mai orders the God of RA to attack… and I mirror force!!!. HA! Eat that you big gold level 10 chimera looking thing! I protected myself this turn but at the end of Mai’s turn the God card comes back from the graveyard – like all god cards do. With no cards in my hand the next card will determine the game! I draw Emissary of Peace! As you can see from the life points it protects me all the way until she draws a heavy storm. Then I get blasted.

Round 2: Mai 8000 – DEAD

            Me 7900-7800-7700-7600-7500

As you can see I start of strong with an early emissary of peace. Since I had emissary out she just lined up her monsters on the other side of the field, on my side of the field I had lined up my monsters too, they were all protected by emissary. I had a snatch steal in my hand but knowing Mai she wanted to blast me with that God of RA one more time. So I wait for her to play what I know she wants to get out, the Sun of God Dragon RA. I know that God cards shrug off all equips at the end of the turn but 1 turn is all I need if my plan goes correctly. The next turn she summons the Winged Divine Dragon of RA and since she cant attack she leaves RA on her side of the field at a strong 4000-something waiting to blast me. She says “end” knowing its only a matter of time till the first round repeats itself again. She’s waiting for the heavy storm. The next card I draw is… the Saint Dragon – God of Osiris!. I saw victory when I saw this red dragon. I allow the Saint Dragon to hit the field by tributing 3 of my monsters. Now my red dragon God of Osiris was staring down Mai’s Sun of God Dragon RA. I quickly snatch steal and attack with both ending the game. Math question: for Osiris and RA to end the game, RA being at 4000 something…. How many cards did I (Bandit Keif) have in my hand?

Round 3: Mai: 6700–4400-3500-1800-200-DEAD

            Me: 4900–4400-3900-3400-3100-1600

Lets start out with Mai at 200 LP and Me “Bandit Keif” at 1600 LP. Mai’s God of RA has been blasting my monsters one by one for a couple of rounds now, clearing my defense with RA and hitting me with one of her trademark earth warriors. The next monster I draw couldn’t have helped me out, she had me at 1600 LP with no monsters on the field, while she has a God Card Happied up on the 2300, 1700, and 1800 monsters that were sacrificed to it making it an immeasureable 5,800 attack strength. The next card I draw is CYBER JAR!!! So if this card does anything close to what it does in the cartoon a light blue beam should come out and give me a chance to win this! I set it, she attacks as I expected. Wham! Blue beam time baybee!!! The cyber jar does it’s job summoning 3 monsters for me and 4 monsters for her. Damn if she had 5 monsters filling up the slots maybe the God of RA would be stuck on the sideline, no matter, RA comes back from the graveyard and I had plans of my own. The God of Osiris was calling to me to be summoned. And I’m not one to not listen to a talking card so I put that shet down like its hot!. I look at it’s stats and its 5000! What the hell! Its not as strong as The God of RA that’s ready to blast my little red dragon God of Osiris away!. Damn stupid talking God card. I look at my 5 card hand and what do I see?! Pot of Greed! Yes, a “card getting” card that in this situation it will raise the God of Osiris’ attack! (solve the math problem of round 2 yet?) I “Pot of Greed!” and attack RA with Osiris! “Saint Dragon Osiris, Thunder Force!!” BOOM!! The light and impact from the explosion lasts for what seems an eternity. As the smoke clears from Osiris’ thunder force attack, RA is gone and Mai is left with a red zero flashing on her life point meter.

Round 4: Me “Bandit Keifvrs. Serf

Your right Serf, my deck is classified, and the dynamics of it are top secret. So I only expect a good counter from you, and Kevin – Mr. Clown (who pretty much has the “Crush Card” for my deck).

If you want the life points go check Serf’s tournament report.

Soul Release single handedly won this game. Soul Release beat the disruptor deck like the Po-lece beat down Rodney King. I cant say much about Serf’s deck, it’s a wonder how he made it pretty much immune to everything and he keeps on getting a hand full of cards, we all think he just got lucky when he put that deck together. Or maybe hes bustin a “dog pound” kid and drawing extra cards when your not looking, or maybe he runs 2 pot of greeds (think about it!! That’s why he wont let you see his graveyard sometimes!!) HA! All I remember from this game was that Soul Release left the disruptor deck’s graveyard as empty as the Grand Lake Theater on a Tuesday! Yea that’s right! TUESDAY!
