My strategy is to clear their field and stall until
I can bring out Jinzo to wipe them out. Also, my Side Deck
is mainly used when my opponent is using Exodia, or if I want
to switch to Hand Destruction. Entry fee was four dollars, winner
got eighteen dollars store credit, second got ten dollars store
credit, and third  got 8 dollars store credit. The rules were
single-elimination, no Japanese cards, and Pharaoh’s Servant
cards were allowed. Anyway, here is how it all happened

1st Round – Number of people left in tournament: 30-some
Goat vs. Robbie (Beatdown Deck)
Duel 1: I got Jinzo out late game, and used it to finish him off.
Duel 2: He kept clearing out my monsters and bringing out his
Summoned Skulls to wipe out my life points.
Duel 3: I got a great start and beat him with dream clown and nimble Momonga.
Overall: I really underestimated this kid. I thought he would be a piece
of cake, but he was very good.
2-1

2nd Round – Number of people left in tournament: something like 18 or so
Goat vs. friend of Robbie (power bonus deck?)
Duel 1: I wiped out some of his monsters early.
His failure to draw any monsters in the next few turns cost him the game.
Duel 2: I was wiping his hand out with Delinquent Duo and
The Forceful Sentry, getting rid of his low level monsters.
I soon Brought out Jinzo and a Dream Clown and I beat him
Overall: This kid was good, but he had too many different
power bonus monsters like little Chimera and Milus Radiant.
4-1

3rd Round – Number of people left in tournament: 9
                   Bye
While I was waiting for the other matches to finish,
I watched my friend Eric play. He got eliminated by
my other friend Keith. Also, my rival Craig played
an easier person and won very quickly.

4th Round – Number of people left in tournament: 5
Goat vs. Scott (Exodia Deck)
Duel 1: I had everything running this game. I got
past his defenses very quickly and he was at the
point where he had to defend with the pieces of Exodia.
I guess he realized that he couldn’t beat me, so he kept
using solemn judgment on every thing I tried to play just
to reduce his own Life points. I won this duel quite easily.
Between Duels: I side decked some of my cards to put
my anti-Exodia cards in my deck.
Duel 2: I got Robbin’ Goblin first turn.
I quickly drew another one and kept destroying his hand.
This duel ended very quickly.
Overall: He was a good friend of mine, so it felt very
good to beat him. He is good, but I am always ready when
I play against Exodia decks.
8-1

5th Round – Number of people left in tournament: 3 (Semi-Finals)
Goat vs. Craig (Staller/Jinzo deck)
Intro: This was the match I had anticipated.
My deck is based on Craig’s deck. He has been the
only person I haven’t been able to beat with my current deck.
Duel 1: He had everything running this match. He beat me
early game with Jinzo and other monsters.
Between Duels: I noticed that some of my cards like
Gravity Bind and Giant Soldier weren’t working well
against Craig. I couldn’t think of a way to beat him, so as
a last resort, I side decked some cards to put in my hand Destruction cards.
Duel 2: I kept killing his monsters with Tribute to The Doomed
and such, and I won mid-game.
Duel 3: I drew my Robbin’ Goblin very quickly. I used my
tribute to the doomed’s to destroy his face down monsters,
then I kept hitting him with dream clown and wiped out his hand.
Overall: I felt so good that I finally beat my rival. I felt
very happy that I would be getting a good prize. Craig also
said that it wasn’t that bad that he lost to me, because I
used a modified version of his deck, so even though he lost,
his deck was a very good one.
10-2

6th Round - Number of people left in tournament: 2 (Finals)
Goat vs. Daniel (Beatdown Power-up Deck)
Duel 1: I used forceful sentry first turn and got to
mess up his hand. He brought out his summoned skull,
but I quickly destroyed it with man-eater bug. I had
a lot running this game and I won mid-game.
Duel 2: I messed up his hand again very quickly with
delinquent duo and forceful sentry. I Finally brought
out Jinzo along with two Nimble Momonga’s I had brought
by the another one being destroyed. Next turn, he played
Harpy’s Brother and Equipped it with Malevolent Nuzzler to
destroy my Jinzo. Next Turn, I used tribute to the Doomed on
Harpy’s Brother and attacked him with my two Nimble Momonga’s
two win the game (he was at 1600 life points)
12-2

Tournament Overall: This was my Second time placing first,
and it felt very good because I had beaten three very good
duelists. With my eighteen dollars store credit I bought
three packs of Pharaoh’s Servant, five candy bars, a Mountain Dew,
and some new card sleeves. In one of my packs I got
Goblin Attack Force! Anyway, Props & Slops time:
