This is my first report, so plz excusemy mistakes and don't pick on my privacy. Deck name: Beatdown Name: A.G. Tourny: Coliseum of Comics, Daytona beach in Florida. Date: 11/24/02 People: 15-20 Card Restrictions: Japanese cards allowed (sigh). PSV cards are allowed (woohoo!) Type: 3 on 3 tag team Deck: 40 cards, I'm proud of it, because I was always with highest LP and was beaten last. Monsters: 20 Summoned skull x3 La jinn the mystical Genie of the lamp x3 Harpie's Brother x2 Prevent rat x2 Mystical Elf Witch of the Black Forest Wall of Illusion Man eater bug x3 Hane hane x3 Magician of Faith Magic: 12 Malevolent Nuzzler x3 Giant trunade Fairy Meteor Crush Raigeki Card Destruction Pot of greed Monster Reborn Change of heart De-spell Remove trap Traps: 8 Waboku x3 Trap hole x2 Solemn Wishes x2 Magic Drain Few words about my deck: I really depend on my MEB's and HH's to clear the way for me to my opp's LP. I dunno why does everybody hate de-spell and remove trap, cuz in PSV there are a lot of continuous cards that a lot of ppl put in their decks. Also solemn wishes is an awesome healer, I can't believe it's a common! Oh yeah, and I'm looking for mirror force, a few magic jammers with 7 tools, mask of darkness, and if I get lucky a Thousand Eyes Restrict combo. And Call of the Haunted too :P Round 1: Me, my classmate and an other kid who we just met vs some lady with exodia, and 2 guys who's decks are uncertain cuz I beat em too fast to see their cards. Well, as we started I thought that this is going to be confusing... I mean, 3 on 3! But anyway... I got A couple of La jinns, harpie's bro along with malevolent nuzzler and other cards that i dont remember in my hand. My team went first I finished the guy in front of me in a few turns, basically with la jin+MN, and after that i put down MEB to clear out his field, then raigeki, and so it wasn't a real challenge... I was happy with my first victory, but there two more players to take out. My partner played a dark hole or raigeki, dont remember, and we kept nailing them with our la jin's... That was pretty much it, I finished the second guy myself, and we ganged up on the lady with exodia with a similar strategy, enuf said. We finished her in time, because she had 4 pieces of exodia in her hand and her next turn she would of drawn a sangan. Oh well! Winner: my team. Looser: Opposing team (I didn't get their names!!) ***************************************************************** Round 2 ( it seemed no players were eliminated, cuz the ones who lost stayed to watch others duel) My team vs some 3 dudes, about 11-12 years of age, not sure... Well this round was totally confusing. We were beating the 3 guys, when the judge announced our duel... UNOFFICIAL! The opposing team was lucky, one more turn and they would of lost. Why unofficial? I'm not sure... It's still unclear to me... but I think it was unfair :( Round 2 (official now) My team vs my other classmate with exodia, his friend with a burner, and another guy who's strategy was unclear to me. First of all, these guys were tough. Not the burner one, because his teammates made all the decisions for him... But the others had two swords of revealing light which they kept refreshing with giant trunades, mage of faiths, etc etc, SO ANNOYING! But anyway. They have a lot of counters, and they played trap holes on almost each one of our high lvl monsters. So we had to go on the defensive. Well atleast I did... I put down two solemn wishes which got me to about 13,000 LP which was very handy. we reduced their LP pretty good, but not good enough... They were fighting dirty, yet by the rules, they ganged up on one of us at a time concentrating all their power on one person... Pretty soon it was over for my teammates. I was standing last... So they started working on me. They destroyed and countered every monster i drew so soon my field was wide open... and only one monster managed to hold them off in attack mode... MAGICIAN OF FAITH! with 3 MN's of course :D that's all i had to offer, i was finished. Eventually they killed my mage, and got my LP. That's why I hate tag teams, cuz it's harder to fight 3 people at a time... Winner: THEM. Loser: us... Notes: Tag teams isn't my type. They're just plain confusing and too many cards to keep in mind -- your teammates' and your opponents'. I'm sure if it was 1v1, i would of done better, but oh well, it's my first tourny :P I'll write another report next week after my second tourny on sunday ( i hope ) If u have comments, write to awdif@yahoo.com , keep the flames to yourself, my initials are A.G. but you can call me A.G.
