This was my first time at TJL’s so kids thought I wasn’t going to be a challenge so I had the upper hand. Before the tournament today we had about an hour to walk around check other people’s decks, warm up for the tournament, and trade. Before the tournament I traded one of my relinquished for a premature burial, and my horn of heaven for call of the haunted. I was able to duel a couple of kids before the tourney also. One kid, Joe who went to the finals with me swore up and down that he was going to crush me. But after 2 straight wins he asked me to help him with his deck. After a quick Dr. Pepper the tourney started!

Match 1: Tom (me) Vs. Alex

I got to duel this kid before the tourney and he beat me 1 out of 3 games because of his 6300 attack Maha Vailo! But I was ready for it this time.

Well he got to go 1st and he set down a monster in defense and a m/t down. My turn, I used pot of greed got man-eater and raigeki. First I used TTTD on his facedown man-eater then I premature buried my barrel dragon and set man-eater hitting him for 2600. Next he plays Maha Vailo with horn of the unicorn axe of despair and nuzzle attacking my barrel dragon hitting me for 3050. Next I flip man-eater and destroy his maha, then tributed for Skull and attacked. Score was me 4950 him 2900. Next he played a monster face-down, my turn, I play wall of illusion in attack and attack with it, killing his La Jinn Then attacked for 2500 He was at 400. Next turn he plays another monster facedown. My turn I used raigeki that I had been holding and then finished him off with skull.

Match 2

This match was a lot like the last only I got out my Jinzo and locked down his traps and kept on removing his monsters and killed him with my walls and Jinzo. After the duel he showed me how he had mirror force and imperial order down.

2nd Round: Tom Vs. Nick

This kid was real easy he had a lot of fusion monsters and only 1 poly but he put up a good fight.

I started off with a fissure, wall, skull, pot of greed, and call of the haunted. I went first using pot and got my man-eater and change of heart I set down wall and passed. His turn, he plays harpies bro and attacks, back to his hand, 50 life. My turn I play I sac wall for skull and attack. His turn plays a monster face down and passes. My turn I play change of heart and tribute his sangan for summoned skull #2. As he thinks its not over yet I premature burial my wall and finish him off.

Match 2

This was easy he couldn’t get anything out I just started off with walls and tributed them for barrel dragon then next turn call of the haunted wall and tributed it for skull and finished him off

Final Round: Tom (me) Vs. Joe

Well Since I made his deck for him earlier I knew what was in it and had an advantage.

This duel went real smooth for me I pretty much got out everything I need my nimble momongas finally came of use to me and put me at 11000 early in the game. I got out Jinzo with no problem Locking down his traps which were a strong part of his deck.

Match 2:

This match was much different he got out Imperial order early in the game screwing me over with all the magic I had in my hand. He eventually got out his sanga of the thunder and won.

Let me just say at this point I was getting a little scared now knowing how he just came up and beat me out of no where so I decided to take my time this duel to assure that I would win.

Match 3

This match was just embarrassing for him I got out barrel dragon and Jinzo early in the game removing his monsters and locking down his traps, at this point I was still at 8000 so I took it easy from there on in winning it with my Jinzo.
