There were a lot more people than I thought would be here. It was Christmas Eve, so I figured maybe 10 people would show up. Actually, 20 people showed up.

Round 1: 20 Participants left

Me vs. Michael (my cousin)

I hate dueling relatives in the first round. I usually beat them (actually, I always beat them). I like to duel them in the higher brackets of the tournament.

Duel 1: I had full control over this one. I beat him in three turns. I went first and set HH. He played DEF as well. I flipped HH and returned his monster to his hand. Then I summoned MV in ATK and equipped it with MN and struck him for 3200. Me: 8000, Him: 4800. He played DEF again. I drew and played Raigeki and hit him for 3200 more. Me: 8000, Him: 1600. He played DEF once more. I pulled NoC and got rid of his bug and squashed his LP for the win.

Duel 2: I didn’t have as much control over this one as I wanted. He went first and played DEF. I played a HH in DEF. He summoned La Jinn and flipped his MEB to clear my field. Me: 5750, Him: 8000. I played RMB in ATK and equipped it with a MN and destroyed his bug which came over to me and I switched it to DEF. He equipped La Jinn with Fairy Meteor Crush and squashed my bug. Me: 4550, Him: 7050. I held on for awhile but he crushed me with that stupid Genie so I could regain control.

Duel 3: I finally got him scared when Ace (one of my friends) came over and told him some of the cards in my deck. He got scared and panicked. I crushed him in five turns with my MV and HK.

Round 2: 10 Participants left.

Me vs. Steven

$H!T!!! Steven is one of the harshest people ever. I dueled him before and he was no cakewalk. We played 3 out of 5 before. He beat me in 7 of those 5 duels. Don’t ask how because I’m not even sure how it happened.

Duel 1: My starting hand was MV, MJ, MF, GT, RMB. I went first and drew Ceasefire. Then I set all my Traps and played MV in DEF. He made the stupidest move ever and played FINAL DESTINY!!! which I Jammered paying my GT. With no hand, He couldn’t do ANYTHING. My turn. I pulled MEB. I had an idea. I played RMB in DEF and flipped Ceasefire to deal him 1000. Then I switched MV into ATK and hit him for 1550. He pulled and played Mechanicalchaser and attacked my MV. Too bad my Mirror Force got rid of it. I pulled MR and played MEB. Then I hit him for a total of 2250. He played DEF. I pulled MEB. Next, I flipped the MEB I had on the field and took his monster out which happened to be MoF. Then I hit him for a total of 2700. He had 500 LP left. He pulled Tailor of the Fickle and forfieted.

Duel 2: He had a slight advantage this time but I took it away when I drew Raigeki. Needless to say, I won.

After destroying the speaking ability of about 40 people, I found out my next opponent was my friend, Jeff. He wasn’t very good (no offense if you’re reading this). He beat me a couple of times, but he made a lot of big mistakes. He ran a Relinquished deck so I knew what to expect.

Round 3: 5 Participants left.

Me vs. Jeff

Duel 1: I had a terrible hand containing nothing but magic. I had SS, 2xMN, AoD, and MR. He played MV in ATK and equipped it with to AoD. I had this one in the bag. After losing 4550 LP I drew RG. I played SS on MV, equipped it with, my 2 MN and AoD. It’s ATK was 8950.

Duel 2: He was able to pull Relinquished out early and take my HK with an AoD. Luckily I pulled out my MV with AoD and Giant Trunade. So I played Giant Trunade and got my Knight back then played Maha with the Nuzzler and blew him up. He had 200 LP left. Next turn I pulled Ceasefire, you can guess the rest from here.

Round 4: 3 Participants left

I got a bye this round so I traded my extra Imperial Order for Thousand Eyes Restrict, Parasite Paracide and Call of the Haunted to a little brat whose dad spent 4,000 dollars on cards.

Round 5: 2 Participants left

Me vs. George

This was incredibly fast. He looked at his opening hand and quit...both times. I asked to look at his deck and saw why. His deck relied one getting certain cards in his opening hand, otherwise, he would lose.

So I won 1st Place and got a PSV box. Apparently it was a god box with the same rare in every pack twice. I got two packs with Imperial Order. I traded my 4 Imperial Orders for a Mechanicalchaser.

Props:

-Getting Mechanicalchaser

-Getting a God Box

-Getting first

-No Slops
