Subject: skull deck, Yifei Wang, westdale hobby, Hamilton

I've created a deck and it has won many victories for me

here's my deck (40 cards in total):

MONSTERS:
1 BEWD
3 Summoned skull
3 wall of illusion
3 la jinn
3 7 coloured fish
3 man eater bug
1 giant soldier of stone
1 jirai gumo
1 big eye
1 witch of the black forest

MAGIC:
3 fissure
1 change of heart
1 dark hole
1 monster reborn
1 pot of greed
1 stim pack
2 card destruction
1 soul exchange
1 tribute to the doomed

TRAP:
2 waboku
3 trap hole
2 reinforcements
1 roblin' goblin

this is my first tournement after i started collecting YUGIOH. i had no idea 
what cards i was about to encounter. after a 3h sleep, i was ready for the 
games.
there were 6 people all together. before the tournement, i chatted with some 
of the players and discovered that they were kinda new too.

this tournement was a 1 win match and this is how it went:

first match

me vs. benny
He had a blue-eyes deck with only 2 BEWD (so much for a blue-eyes deck).
he had some weak monsters such as dragon sombie and ryu-kishen powered. beat 
him in a few turns by using card destruction and then reborning my blue eyes 
that i discarded.

after watching the other players for about 2 minutes or so, i soon had an 
idea of what kind of deck they had.

second match

me vs. chang(chinese also)
He had a few more tricky cards wich made me kinda frustraded. he used 3 
paralyzing potions and i didn't even have a single de-spell! his monsters 
are also getting more powerful as the game continued on. all most at the 
end, he used suijin + reinforcements and whiped down my skull. just when i 
thought i was loosing, i got dark hole and whiped the smirk off his face. 
reborned my skull and killed the rest of his lp.

2wins and 0 looses for me so far:)

third match

me vs. dixon
this guy had the suckiest deck out of all. I didn't know if he had a bad 
hand or something cuz i finished him off the second turn.(thanking him for 
using ultimate offering which helped me too). he thoughlt he was winning 
when he summoned the dark magician his second turn and killed my la jinn. 
but i turned the table around when i drew the next card which is a change of 
heart!! i got this dark magician and summoned two more skull using his 
ultimate offering -hehehe- and then killed his lp to a big, fat 0.

4th match

me vs. some guy i didn't know his name
he was the hardest yet! using dark hole and killed all monsters and defence 
cards and then did some serious direct damage. but it wasn't that hard since 
i used fissure and then attacked him back. that duel ended a few turns 
after. and i won the duel.

now i was sweating... because as the duels continued, the harder it got, 
then i began to regain my confidence and started the 5th duel.

5th duel

me vs. jack
this duel wasn't nearly as hard. maybe he just got a bad hand. he didn't 
have any monsters for the first 5 turns. i was surprised that he actually 
holded off with his magic/trap cards. but when he started getting monsters, 
he already wasted his good magic/trap cards to hold off and i simply nailed 
him with my skulls and BEWD.

the last duel was very hard, i though i was going to loose but i reminded 
myself of the prize which is 5 Metal raider booster packs.

last duel

me vs. a fat kid named lu
he used a lot of japanese cards that are not even out in north america. 
(magic ruler cards and pharaoh's servant-both are coming soon). the cards 
are kinda TOO GOOD but he was too busy buying japanese cards that he didn't 
have any man eater bugs, trap holes, and fissure. which was a good thing for 
me. his kunai with chain (negates the attack and turns the monster who 
attacked into defence mode for 1 turn-also add 500 attack and defence of one 
of his monsters as a equip magic)this card made me very angry,he also had 
level 4 monsters which had attack of 1850, which is kinda unfair cuz all my 
level 4 monsters have 1800 attack or less. at the very end of the duel, he 
got out his shadow ghoul which almost killed me. with only 400 lp at risk, i 
quickly used my favourite combo in my deck, THE CARD DESTRUCTION-MONSTER 
REBORN COMBO, i got my blue-eyes back and he surrendered because he didn't 
have any more monsters.

YES, i thouhgt to myself. i've won my first tournement! but i have to admit, 
i was lucky this time, but im sure i'll be an expert duelist the next time i 
duel!
(let see what i get in the 5 boosters.... hehehe... guess i'll put this in 
my deck)
