The unstoppable Exodia deck Played at Toonplanet Downey, CA August 9th My deck: Monsters - 23 Magic - 9 Traps - 8 2x Man-Eater Bug 1x Dark hole 2x waboku 2x Magician of faith 1x monster reborn 2x trap hole 1x Mystical Elf 2x last will 2x solemn judgement 2x hane-hane 2x swords of revealing light 1x magic jammer 2x witch of the black forest 1x fissure 1x mirror force 2x sangan 1x change of heart 3x wall of illusion 1x pot of greed 2x summoned skull 1x trap master 5x Exodia Total # of cards : 40 Side deck: 2 heavy storm, 1 fissure, 3 la jynn, 3 7 colored fish, 1 summoned skull, 1 blue eyes white dragon, 1 trap hole, 2 dark elf, 1 stim-pack. I use my side-deck to take out exodia from my deck and change it to a beat down deck if they use TOO many card destructions(card destructions piss me off). My deck is like an offensive deck that keeps its defence too. Even if card destruction or robbin' golin takes my exodia off, I still have a chance to win with my summoned skulls. I counter card destructions using solemn judgement because I don't have to discard a card from my hand. Magic-jammer is really bad if I don't have an extra card in your hand besides exodia (or if I have an extra card, it's a real good card). I also put in a trap master to kill off their robbin' goblin (robbin' golin can really mess up exodia). I practiced with my friends. I let them use robbin' goblin and even to rig their decks. I have beaten them countless times, but I lost a lot too (since I let them rig their decks, they put 2 card destructions on top of their decks to use against me). Approximate Numbers of people participated in the tournament : 28 $3 fee. Winner gets barrel dragon. 2nd place gets Kazejin. No japanese cards allowed at all. The 1st round-- Exodia deck(me) vs. ????(some weird deck) This round was real easy.He was a kid who just started collecting yu-gi-oh cards. He didn't even have any strong lvl 4 cards in his deck. I finished him off easily with my summoned skulls. The second round, he lost in a blink of an eye. The winner is me!!! ( I didn't feel happy beating a little kid) The 2nd round-- Me vs. beatdown deck/ discarding deck. The first duel was pretty easy.I sacrificed my own witch with last will activated for a summoned skull. It let me draw an exodia piece and let me put another witch or sangan on the field!! (I love that combo). I got my exodia very late because I was messing around with him. Easy win on the first duel. The second time we dueled, he had changed his deck to a discarding deck. He used ultimate offering to summon 2 bistro butchers with robbin' golin and attack me directly since all my monsters on the field died by his acid trap hole. 2 bistro butchers made me draw 4 cards and he discarded 2 of them because of robbin' goblin. Also he used many card destructions which killed all my exodia pieces. I decked out really quickly. The third duel, I knew I had to change my deck into a beat down deck using my side-deck. I beat him easily when his bistro butchers let me draw really good cards. I am the winner! The 3rd round-- Me vs. a dragon deck This was my favorite round. I was very happy to counter his combos. He used basic combos like lord of D.+ flute+ 2 blue eyes. All I had to do was magic-jammer or solemn judgement his flutes and keep on attacking his life points. That's how I won my first round. On the second round, he tried to stall and gain life points. He changed his deck a little by using his side deck. He used swords to stall and ultimate offerings to bring out his immortal of thunder and hane-hanes. He flipped immortal of thunders to gain 3000 life points and he used his hane-hane to get it back to his hands. He did that until the swords ended. He had about 15,000 life points. After that, he used card destruction so he can get rid of his immortal of thunders in his hands, but would I let him do that? NO! I blocked his card destruction with my solemn judgement. He was forced to put down his immortal thunders which I killed. His plan has back-fired. The 4th round(semi finals)-- Me vs. Direct-life point deck. The first duel, I put many monsters on the field because I thought his deck was a beatdown deck. When I had 4 monsters on the field, he used 2 just desserts on me. 4000 life points gone!! Also when I finally realized that it was a direct-life point deck and tried to attack him, his monsters were mostly witch of the black forest or sangans to draw his ultimate card: princess of Tsurugi. I always leave my solemn judgements and magic-jammers down so I can counter things, but he took advantage of them. His princess of Tsurugi did direct damage on me because i had trap cards on my field. The first duel goes to him... I was so mad. I changed my deck only a little bit with my side deck. I put 2 heavy storms in my deck. In the second duel, I used my heavy storm on my first turn!!! I killed his 2 just desserts with ookazi and waboku. He knew his plan had failed. After that, I just got my exodia pieces easily without worries. The third duel was pretty easy. He tried to make his deck a beatdown deck by switching cards, but not good enough. I got my exodia in 4 turns! WOO HOO, I'm going to the finals. Final round-- Me vs. Hardcore beatdown dragon deck. This is the duel where I learned about the heart of the cards. He was the hardest duelist I have ever faced. Everyone in the store knows about my exodia deck now, even him. On the first duel, he used many combos. I used up my combos too. On his third turn, he had summoned skull and 2 blue eyes on the field. He sacrified his witch to summon summoned skull and its effect to draw lord of d. I barely blocked his attack by using waboku. I had 4 pieces of exodia in my hand. It was my turn and my turn to draw. I was thinking of heart of the cards to draw the last piece but no luck. I drew a trap hole which was a useless card for that situation. I lost the first duel. The second duel, I had 3 pieces of exodia on my first hand! He tried to use card destruction but I countered it by using magic-jammer even though I had to discard my mirror force!! I got my exodia pretty fast. Even before he got to use his lord of d. +flute+2 blue eyes combo. The third duel was very intence. Everyone in the store was watching us duel. This is the duel where I learned about the heart of the cards. He attack my life points so many times that my life was down to 3700.He even attack me with his man-eater which got me to 3250 and no chance watsoever of attacking him. I was going to forfeit but I still believed in my cards. The next turn, he summoned his blue eyes, sacrificing his own man-eater and la jinn and attacked me directly. I had 250 life points remaining. Everyone thought I had lost the match. Even I thought that. It was my turn to draw a card. I tried to use heart of the cards again, hoping I would draw something powerful like raigeki, but I drew an exodia piece. I thought I lost. An exodia piece is useless in this condition, but when I looked at my hand, I had 4 pieces of exodia!! With the piece I drew, I had all 5 pieces of the Unstoppable Exodia. Match goes to me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had fun at the tournament. I got many new cards including my barrel dragon. I always believe in my cards now. If there is will, there is always a way.
