Yugiman's Thoughts
Almost done and over with; too much in general.
April 14, 2008

Almost done and over with; too much in general.

So here we are, a month and few days into the new format, and we're already peering into a emergency ban. UDE/Konami had the chance to fix the game for good, and yet they didnt. What makes people think that they will fix it with an emergency ban? They've already shown countless times that they wont listen to us, so I dont have much hopes for the emergency list. If they somehow make the right moves, I might consider playing majorly again, but if not, I will throw this game away like a wet sock.

I recently went down to a local, and saw some old friends. These guys astound me to say the least. Dave, a guy who wins a easy Montreal regional and than proclaims himself a "pro" and than goes to SJC's and scrubs them calls himself a pro? Lmao. Lemme get one thing straight Dave and to other players. Dont think because your UDE ranking is high because you win countless easy locals that your any bit good, because your nowhere near it. Going down to regionals and topping all the time makes you good. To Dave, please continue to play and prove my point. Your wasting your time on this game, especially when I forshadow that your gonna probably scrub most regionals, sjc's you go to. You spend too much time on this game, and need to loosen up and go outside for a bit. Your letting the game think your good, and your still nowhere near good.

I just find it funny how players just get all these good cards( Dad, etc, etc) and then think they're god in playing yugioh. I got told I was making wrong moves by mediocre players whom I never heard of till I went down to tourney. You guys have your own play style, I have mine. Every single time I set multiple s/t down I had the protection to back it up( ie; solemns). I can read a player quite easily, and I can tell when he's/she's got a god hand. Not too mention, that most of their players cheat too. I went against one guy who altered a dice roll on my Snipe Hunter. It was rolling, he flicked it and I told him no. Basically scooped cuz i wanted out of the place.

What's this article about you ask? Its about how people whom dont have the credentials need to step up or shut up. Winning locals doesn't make you auto good, because I can go down to my locals and beat easy kids too and proclaim im good too. Going to regionals and consistently winning does it. I understand that the format is bad, so perhaps waiting for something is your best bet, but also running what everyone else does, wont make you good either. Think outside the box peeps, and make something thats worthwhile and good and not copy others.
