Yugiman's Thoughts
Since
everyone is giving out their opinions on the New
Banned List, I decided I will give you my input
and concerns. So here goes.
Newly Banned: Breaker-the Magaical Warrior - At first I was kinda shocked to see this on the banned list but learned to accept it. It was almost in everydeck and is almost always a +1. It seemed to me that most people used this on me almost first turn and it got annoying. He deserved his banning and Im happy that I wont see him for 6 months. It will allow people to try something new like Snipes, Chiron, Dusts, Mobius, etc. Good move imo. Graceful Charity - Deserves the banning. DarkWorld was beginning to be a probem and with the new DarkWorld monsters coming out it would have been alot more deadlier. I always hated people constantly opening with it, and than re-using it with Magician of Faith. It could stay on the list forever for all I care. Last Will - With 3 Injection Fairy Lily's and 3 Exiled Force this needed to be banned. Not much to say imo. Magician of Faith - Again, deserves to be banned. The part where you can grab whatever spell you want and re-use it again is just stupid. This + Nobleman is pretty friggin stupid. Victory Dragon - Dont really care as nobody would ever use it anyways, since you could just scoop anyways. This kind of game mechanic shouldnt even be used in the game anyways. Deserves to be banned forever. Newly Restricted: Chain Strike - I never got to duel a Chain Strike deck, but I know its probably annoying. It doesnt kill off the decktype but made it less deadly I guess. Should stay at 1 for awhile. Crush Card Virus - Stupidly broken and deserves to go to 1 per deck. Also the fact that it comes out in common soon also probably influences it to go to 1. Dimension Fusion - Didnt need to be restricted imo. If they were smart they would have banned Chimeratech instead of restricting this and the other combo cards. E-Hero Stratos - It kinda sucks because it hasnt been released yet and it gets 1 per deck treatment. I understand it though as 3 Stratos would have been insanely broken in the format. Maybe next list it can go to 3? Giant Trunade - Just look at Dimension Fusion, basically same reason. Mind Crush - I never found this a problem, but I knew in Japan it was pretty crazy. Meh, dont know what to say? Neo-Spacian Ground Mole - I recently looked at the stats of this guy. Friggin crazy, deserves to go to 1 per deck....and have to find one. Overload Fusion - Acceptable imo. They could have banned it though and I wouldnt of had a single problem with it. Snatch Steal - Im gonna be crazy here and suggest its good to see it back. People are complaining "oh Breakers gone, how can we counter it?" Snipes, Mobius, Chiron, Dusts and I can go on. Just realize that its back and stop complaining much? Newly Semi-Restricted: DD Assailant - Should be at 3 per deck. I never really got why it was restricted. This will be another test thing for them to see if it works good in meta and then maybe make 3 next list. Mask of Darkness - Meh, could of went to 3 imo. Works good though to get back Ring and RoD opponent again. Metamorphosis - I wanna hear their logic for even restricting this? Sure it morphed goats into TER, but TER is now banned. Tsukuyomi is now banned. Bring this, plus Scapegoats to 3 would have been such a smart move for UDE. I will maindeck/side-deck 2 just to morph into Balters, and Senshi's and stuff though. 3 per deck: Injection Fairly Lily at 3 - Most people wont main more than 2 imo. Running 3 Lily would be quite insane and could lead to really bad top-decks. Exiled Force at 3 - Very good move by UDE here. I kind of had a feeling it would go to 3 this list, and I was right. Makes toolbox more viable this list. Sacred Phoenix at 3 - Most people will play it at 2, and it will lead to new phoenix decks. Imo though it always gets hyped at beginning of format and flops. I think this will be the same here. With 2 DDA, and 3 Bottemless flying around this bird is gonna get shot down.(bad pun). Overall a good list, but Scapegoats, Morph, and Book should have went back up to 3 to counter Gadgets, and Monarchs. If they would have done that..the list would have been perfect.
