What is Paper Clipping?

Hey everyone!  I'm gonna make this a pretty short, sweet, and to the point article.  I'm just going to start a trade binder that is made solely for paperclipping.

WHAT
IS
PAPER
CLIPPING

Paper clipping is based on the idea that if you trade up and profit every single trade you ever do, you'll eventually turn a crappy collection into a great one.  So, I'm taking a tradebook of mostly 'bulk' cards, or stuff that isn't really worth that much, with me to YCS Charlotte.  I know that some of the cards aren't bulk, but frankly, I want to have a little bit that is worth something.  I'm gonna be trying to just turn it into as much as possible.  So, because my camera is being weird at the moment (hopefully it'll be good by charlotte, or I'll be able to borrow one)  I'll just type it in here like a trade list online, by page.

I'm also gonna say that it is a simple 2 inch 3 ring binder with 9 panel ultra pro pages in it, so, part of the paperclipping will also be trying to trade for a monster binder.  The rules are pretty simply, I can only trade stuff out of this book for stuff going into this book.  I can sell stuff out of this book, but I can't spend more money on the book than I've made.

Why am I doing this?   Many people may wonder, at least ones that know me in real life, since I have a pretty good trade binder at the moment.
I'm tired of seeing people trash talk people like Spooky and Senorblanco when they talk about how to paperclip and make money in yugioh and say it doesnt work.  So, I'm gonna try to make this into a series, and document each transaction involving the binder that I have.  I can take stuff out of the binder for nothing, if I was to put it in a deck or something, but, I cannot add stuff to the binder for free.

finally.

I know that there are a lot of different cards and a bunch of them aren't exactly bulk, but I felt most of it was stuff that you could find pretty cheap, with a couple of exceptions, or pay low amounts of cash for (I regularly offer 3$ on Caius' at regionals and stuff after the event and go home with 7-8. which I generally sell for 5 and people think I'm just a really nice fella.).  I also put a lot of different stuff in the book so that all kinds of bulk cards are represented.
I wanted special edition stuff (Shrink, Kuraz)
Random Old Jewels (Necrovalley, Call of the Haunted)
Video Game Cards (Magician's Circle, Mind Control)
Premium Pack/HA (Mezuki, Fabled Stuff)
Good Rares (Jowls, D.D. Crow)
Good Commons (Morphing Jar, Trade In)
Holo versions of stuff people might wanna foil (Shooting Star, Nobleman)

I hope that this helps.  I want people to be successful and see smart people flourish in this game.  I also want people to stop giving crap about stuff that they haven't actually tried in real life and just sounds too good to be true.

I'm gonna try to do a bunch of video articles and player interviews in Charlotte.  Check out my most recent video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hVXs9JByok&feature=channel_video_title) to know what I look like and jazz if you wanna meet up or something.  I hope to meet a bunch of you there.  That'd be awesome!

Till next time
