BAM: Ohh My God it Burns
May 4, 2006

Through life one comes to numerous deciding points.  We must accept one path or create another.  Yet in the end the choices we make are our choices.  We must live with the consequences of a wrong move and the searing pain of defeat.  Yet as long as we live we can learn from each of our actions.  Eventually this insight piles up and if we pay close attention the end will not be bleak.

This was the though going through my head as I tried out Nicholas Anderson's deck because while playing it one begins to see how quickly each play accumulates, rolling up on itself, eventually ending with a final blow.  Take a look at his deck..

Nicholas Anderson

//NAME: Untitled Deck
// mon
        3 Shining Angel
        3 Royal Magical Library
        3 Marauding Captain
// trap
        2 Ojama Trio
        2 A Rival Appears!
        1 Magical Explosion
// mag
        3 Tremendous Fire
        3 Poison Of The Old Man
        3 Ookazi
        3 Hinotama
        3 Final Flame
        2 Reinforcement of the Army
        3 Magical Mallet
        3 Reload
        3 Inferno Reckless Summon

After trying this out some changes had to be made.  First Ojama Trio and a Rival Appears! tended to be dead weight throughout the duels.  Also the use of Shining Angel is good in theory to search out Royal Magical Library, but sadly it does not work with Inferno Reckless Summon.  Thus it was removed.

The object of this deck is to draw into a Marauding Captain or Reinforcements of the Army.  By getting a Captain you other Key card is Royal Magical Library.  By special summoning it you activate the requirement of Inferno Reckless Summon.  From there you simply play every burn spell in your deck continually drawing into more and more cards to burn your opponents LP Away with.

Here are the changes I made...

-2 Ojama Trio
-1 Reload
-3 Shining Angel
-2 A Rival Appears!

+ 2 Magical Blast
+ 2 Toon Cannon Soldier
+ 3 Toon Table of Contents
+ 1 Graceful Charity

This deck is like any FTK.  It works or it doesn't, it just depends on what you draw.  But this deck has a lot of potential, which is where you come into play.  I would greatly appreciate if all of you tried this out.  It runs pretty well now, search, search, search, draw, draw, draw, game over.  Cards like Sacred Crane might help aid the Marauding captain cards.  But the deck is devastating when it works.  Literally burning your opponents LP away with negative one cards, compensating for this through the use of Royal Magical Library, thus allowing you to draw into more cards and eventually removing your opponents LP.  Magical Blast is there because the ability to dish out huge amounts of damage is sweet.

Give it a try, let mew know
