Card Creations:
Reign of Chaos
May 11, 2006

Good day, everyone.

My Revolution of Nature package was quite a success; lots of people sent e-mails that contained a positive feedback. There is however, one thing that needs to be changed. In Revolution of Nature, there was a card named The End. Here’s its description:

The End (Common)

RON-006

Spell / Normal

“Pay 15000 Life Points. You are declared the winner of the duel.”

This card seemed very balanced and could be able to revive Life Points-gain Decks. However, if this card is used with Spell Economics, then you could be able to win the game by using two cards, which shouldn’t be allowed. So, here’s the first errata:

The End (Common)

RON-006

Spell / Normal

“Pay 15000 Life Points. This cost cannot be negated or affected by any other card effect. You are declared the winner of the duel.”

That’s better. Now the cost cannot be changed, which makes it impossible to combine this with Spell Economics.

--

Anyway, today’s package is called Reign of Chaos. With it, I’m trying to introduce new and balanced Chaos Cards so that the Chaos Theme can finally become the decktheme it was supposed to be. But, there are plenty of D.D. Cards in it as well, so let’s start right away.

Reign of Chaos: 40 Cards

Chaos Servant (Common)

ROC-001

Dark / Warrior

4*

“This card’s effect is only activated in the Graveyard. This card’s Attribute is treated as DARK and LIGHT.”

--

Chaotic Dimension Demon (Common)

ROC-002

Dark / Fiend

Effect

4*

“This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster in your Graveyard from play. When this face-up card is removed from play, it is Special Summoned to your side of the field.”

ATK 1900 / DEF 1600

--

Well, there it is: Reign of Chaos. I tried to make all the Chaos Cards more balanced than the one that is still available so that Chaos won’t dominate the Metagame again if these cards ever come out. There is one special thing in this package, though: The first card that is limited is introduced: ‘D.D. Decision’. Even though it provides you with an instant –1 disadvantage, it can still thin your Deck very good and it can power up cards like Gren Maju Da Eiza. And of course, there are some very good cards in this package as well, but they were given (small) drawbacks, so that they won’t make Chaos dominating again.

And then there are the D.D. Cards. They are obviously focused around the RFG Zone and they take full advantage out of it. With this kinda support, it might even become a tier-1 support...If these cards would just exist in real life...

Here are the cards that are thought up by other people.

Thank you everyone for sending in your ideas and I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to post your card here.

Anyway, onto the credits:

-- Next Time: Scorching Ocean --

Scorching Ocean provides the game with tons of new, hot Fire Cards, along with never seen before Water Cards to make the game even more interesting. Make sure that you don’t miss the clash of these two great forces of nature!

*One final thing about the subject of your e-mails that contain Card Suggestions (I know, I can whine a lot, but it makes my job a lot easier): Please write down the name of my upcoming package (Scorching Ocean in this case) in the subject line, along with the amount of cards that your mail contains. And please don’t forget to SAY that you want your name (or nickname) to be mentioned at the bottom of the article. I just can’t post your name if I haven’t got your permission. –Thanks in advance, I’m looking forward to your mails already-

Well, that does it for this article.

I hope you enjoyed it; all of your comments, ideas, reactions or anything else can be sent to ShineSoldier@gmail.com.

‘Til next time,

~ShineSoldier~
