Last Solution:

            This puzzle shows off two effects. This first reminds the world about Scapegoat stopping further summoning:

  1. Order your Deck thus: Breaker the Magical Warrior, Exiled Force, Book of Moon, Lightning Vortex, Bottomless Trap Hole
  2. Flip Summon Magician of Faith.
    1. Use her effect to add A Feather of the Phoenix to your hand.
  3. Discard Makyura the Destructor to activate Monster Reincarnation. Add Cyber Jar to your hand.
  4. Set Cyber Jar.
  5. Discard Blade Knight to activate a Feather of the Phoenix, targeting Makyura the Destructor.
    1. Discard Dark Magician of Chaos to chain Serial Spell, targeting Blade Knight.
    2. Both targeted Monsters are placed on top of the Deck.
  6. Flip Summon Mask of Darkness.
    1. Use its effect to add Acid Trap Hole to your hand.
  7. Attack with a monster.
    1. Your opponent chains Scapegoat.
  8. Activate Acid Trap Hole, targeting Cyber Jar.
    1. Cyber Jar’s effect resolves, destroying all monsters on the field. Due to the effect of Scapegoat, all monsters picked up by your opponent are destroyed. You Special Summon Breaker the Magical Warrior, Blade Knight, Makyura the Destructor, and Exiled Force and add Book of Moon to your hand.
  9. Attack your opponent to do 1600 + 1600 + 400 + 1600 + 1000 = 6200 damage.

Final Result: Him - 0, You – 100

 

This one shows off Bottomless Trap Hole, and the fact that it doesn’t target:

  1. Order your Deck thus: Breaker the Magical Warrior, Exiled Force, Bottomless Trap Hole, Book of Moon, Lightning Vortex
  2. Flip Summon Magician of Faith.
    1. Use her effect to add A Feather of the Phoenix to your hand.
  3. Discard Makyura the Destructor to activate Monster Reincarnation. Add Cyber Jar to your hand.
  4. Set Cyber Jar.
  5. Discard Blade Knight to activate a Feather of the Phoenix, targeting Makyura the Destructor.
    1. Discard Dark Magician of Chaos to chain Serial Spell, targeting Blade Knight.
    2. Both targeted Monsters are placed on top of the Deck.
  6. Flip Summon Mask of Darkness.
    1. Use its effect to add Acid Trap Hole to your hand.
  7. Activate Acid Trap Hole, targeting Cyber Jar.
    1. Cyber Jar’s effect resolves, destroying all monsters on the field. Your opponent Special Summons five monsters. You Special Summon Breaker the Magical Warrior, Blade Knight, Makyura the Destructor, and Exiled Force and add Bottomless Trap Hole to your hand.
    2. Activate Bottomless Trap Hole, removing all monsters your opponent Special Summoned from play.
  8. Attack your opponent to do 1600 + 1600 + 400 + 1600 + 1000 = 6200 damage. Your opponent cannot activate Scapegoat as he Special Summoned earlier this turn.

Final Result: Him - 0, You – 100

            A nice, easy puzzle, I could have used this little trick in the middle of some long and drawn-out, but decided against it.

Now that shouldn’t be too taxing now, should it? I am expecting far far too many e-mails.

Well, yesterday I came home from judging the last of the three Summer Tours I decided to help with. I'd like to say thank you to everyone that attended, helped, and ran it. It went very well, not counting the fact that I think a rather large number of people now hate me for giving them a MRD packet for winning a tournament. I also got to meet a lot of other players and have now been convinced that I should begin playing Vs. Systems properly and should begin playing it now
    I also learned a valuable lesson in not judging a book by its cover. Never ever do this! Ever! For example, I had a 40 year old guy in quite a few tournaments. He had all of the big expensive cards, but knew nothing about the game. He didn't think Royal Decree was that good as it meant he couldn't use Magic Cylinder. I had to give him about as many rulings as the autistic kid that showed up (very willing, but very forgetful he was). Then there was Oliver. Oliver is three feet (give or take) high. He looks about 5 years old. He went away at the end of the day with about 20 packets, having beaten some of the most experienced players at this event. He ran a techy Chaos deck (this was traditional) and ran it well. He knew the rules and he knew his deck inside out. That little kid showed up far to many people. I wish him the best of luck. He will be a deadly player when he gets older.
    Also, I got some lovely experiences. That is the only tournament in the world someone will open a packet and proclaim, "Wow, Great Moth! I love that! It's a great card!" I only hope more people can enjoy the game like that and that I can judge more tournaments.
       Also also, I'm now a level 2 judge. Whippie! Shame there aren't enough level 2's in this country for anyone to become level 3.
