After the wealth of responses to my last article I have decided to run a simple combo of the day feature here on Pojo.

It won’t be too complicated and I will be only posting reader submissions (so you don’t have to read about any of my lame combos involving combinations of Gyaku-Gire Panda or Ojama Trio).

So here is the first one, which I liked because I wish I had thought of it and can’t believe with all the different beast decks I’ve built I’ve missed this brutal combo.

Release the Twin-Headed Beast

Effect: This card can attack twice during the battle phase

Wild Nature’s Release

Effect: Increase the ATK of 1 face-up Beast-Type or Beast-Warrior-Type Monster on the field by an amount equal to its DEF. Destroy the Monster during the End Phase.

Now at first glance Twin Headed Beast looks like a poor monster, 1700ATK for a 1-tribute monster but imagine this scenario.

Clear your opponent’s field, then summon this card (either by recursion or tribute summon using Treeborn Frog, GK Spy, Marshmallon, Spirit Reaper, Nimble Momonga etc etc) then activate Wild Nature’s Release to get a 3600ATK twin-attacking monster.  That totals 7200LP so close to being an OTK.

I cannot believe I missed this one.  Beast decks have already been made close to top tier with the release of Green Baboon, but imagine if you had this little combo packed away to blast your opponent in one turn.
