So You Want To Design A Yu-Gi-Oh! Card

Yup That's Right, The General Wants You!
 
Who doesn't wish that they worked for UDE and made all of the exclusive cards that are coming out? I for sure would love to have that job (UDE: I have a resume ready if you guys want to hire me). well I don't work for UDE or Konami, so I decided to have my own Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Card Creation Contest. There will be prizes, cool cards and even cooler creators. There will be rules, but this is mostly meant for run, so have fun while creating your cards!
 
Rule #1-Rarities and Prizes
 
The "Special Pack #1" is going to include 20 different cards. One is designed by me and will be one of the three Ultra rare cards. The Grand Prize winner will have their card made into the "Special Pack #1" Secret rare. The second and third place winners will have their cards made into the other two Ultra rare cards. First through third place will receive prizes to be provided by me. First place will receive a Secret Rare card and another card signed by me. Second Place will receive an Ultra rare card and another card signed by me, and third place will receive a Super rare card and another card signed by me. I will not be cheap and give you crappy prizes, so they will actually be worth competing for. The rest of the cards will be divided amongst Silver print cards, no Super Rare or Common cards in this set. After I select the prizes, I will Contact the winners of prizes via email and I will mail out the prizes. All of the winning cards will be featured in my Feature Articles Section in the Set "Special Pack #1".
 
Rule #2-Theme of the Set
 
I will likely receive many different applications for the contest, and I want the entire set to be centered on winged Beast Type monsters, specifically the Aeros Legion cards that I will be giving you an example of in a bit. if it is not Winged Beat related, it will not be entered into the set, or even be considered. Your cards may be a Spell or Trap card as well as a Monster card, so do not be afraid to enter theme specific Spell or Trap cards. You do not need to have your cards be of the Aeros Legion subtype, but they must be Winged Beast related. An Aeros Legion Card must have Aeros Legion in it's card name. The theme of the Aeros Legion monsters is to pitch an in hand Aeros Legion monster to do something.
 
Rule #3-Format
 
The formatting of the card that you send me is very important. It is not hard to create a card in this format, as I will be giving you examples of correct formatting below below:

This monster may not be Special
Summoned. Once per turn you

Please only use format #2 if you are going to submit an artwork. All of the cards chosen will have an artwork and be put into format #2 by me. Please if you do not want me fiddling with your creation, include an artwork. I know that not all of you will submit pictures with your work, but it will save me the time and trouble of looking for pictures myself. So you will more likely be picked if you submit a picture. It doesn't even have to be really relevant. A google search can turn out at least 500 pictures of birds for you to use. I am not picky as far as pictures go, but they must be G-Rated. Please include your name with your submission, as then I can give you credit for the card that you designed.
 
Rule #4-Deadline
 
The deadline to enter the contest is going to be March 30th at 12:00 AM West Coast Time. When you submit a card to me, please put Card Contest in the subject line, or it will likely get deleted. I will not accept cards after the deadline, so be sure to get started on them right away. Only one submission per person please.
 
Rule # 5-Relevance
 
Please do not submit cards like "When you play this card you win the game". It must be a card with sufficient ATK and DEF points relevant to it's effect, or sufficient drawbacks to make it's effect or ATK  or DEF points seem logical. So basically I am looking for cards that could get by UDE if they were to be created. Again, I will only accept Winged Beast cards and/or Aeros Legion cards. Here is an outline of what kind of cards I will be looking for.

Rule #6-Have Fun
 
Please remember that this is pretty much for fun. If your card didn't make the final cut, I'm sorry, someone else did better. The prizes were an afterthought, and I added them only because it would motivate you guys to enter and to make better cards. I will try to use as many of your cards as possible, but please, only one submission per person.
