Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Themed Cards
5.4.06

Hello again to Pojo and YuGiOh fans one and all! I'm finally done with school so hopefully I can spend more time and do more than one article a week. Anyway, today I'm going to talk about themed or families of cards. Most of you are probably familiar with this, but allow me to elaborate.

Theme/Family #1

DD cards

This is probably the most familiar set of cards in YuGiOh. From DD Warrior Lady, DD Assailant, and DD Warrior there are many cards that have the classic DD effect of somehow removing itself and/or other monsters from play.

Theme/Family #2

Jar cards

This is also a very popular set of cards. While Fiber Jar and Cyber Jar are currently banned, there are still many of Jars. Whether it be Morphing Jar or Morphing Jar #2, there is also the seldom known Dice Jar.

Theme/Family #3

Magician cards

Of course one of my favorite sets, Magicians. Including Dark Magician, Dark Paladin, Dark Magician Girl, and Dark Magician of Chaos. Of course, you can probably include the many Dark Magician nomi monsters but yea...

Theme/Family #4

Cyber Dragon cards

From Cyber Dragon himself to his nomis and his Fusions of Cyber Twin and Cyber End Dragon and even including Proto Cyber Dragon. Probably one of the most popular cards to come out since Chaos in IOC.

So, this brings me to today's point. I've only named four sets of monsters that fit the theme category. My question is this: what would YOU like to see be expanded, receive more support, or turn into a family of cards. Perhaps, if I get enough feedback, this will spur another create a card contest.

People complain about only certain monsters or deck types seeing support, but keep in mind. I don't want answers to a specific deck type, I want answers referring to specific monsters.

Well, that does it for today, and I hope you enjoyed it! Next, as soon as I finish typing it up, I'll be posting the 200+ card set I made up, Magical Revolution.

Please feel free to e-mail me with anything, and yes, you CAN send your decks to me, @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
