Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
What will be the next Tier 1 Decktype?

9.27.05

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Well, with the new Ban List finally here, I've decided to do an in-depth analysis as to what I believe could possible be the new Tier 1 decktype.

Gravekeepers--

One decktype that people believe will take over is the Gravekeeper swarm deck. Is this possibly? Very much so. Gravekeepers were a powerful deck, even before the banning of BLS and I don't see why they finally couldn't reach the top.

Warriors--

With the banning of BLS, Warrior I don't believe will see as much play, but I also believe that a Warrior deck can still be successful.
Just because the focal monster is gone Chaos-Warrior simply becomes Warrior. I don't think Warriors will be Tier 1, but they will be in the top group. Keep in mind however, that Maruading Captain can be used in a group of three now.

Machine--

Machines got so much help from Cybernetic Revolution, including Cyber Dragon, Cyber Twin Dragon, and Cyber End Dragon. Machines may finally get their chance to shine, but the restriction of Limiter Removal hurts...hurts a hell of a lot. I don't think Machines would have dominated, even with three Limiters, but they are going to be held back by having only one, and one Magician of Faith.

Zombies--

With Vampire Lord finally off the list completely and being able to use three, many people believe Zombies will indeed reign supreme.
Since most decks know it isn't a good idea to run more than one or two tribute monsters, how would running three Vampire Lords make a Zombie deck better?

Spellcaster/Dark Magician--

Believe it or not, a Dark Magician/Spellcaster deck may quickly rise above the ranks to (close to) Tier 1 with the upcoming release of the Spellcaster Structure deck and the release of Dimension Magic. I am of course, a bit biased, but I don't see why with the proper support this deck couldn't hold its own against any of the above.

(Soul) Control--

Another decktype people are trying to bring back is the Control deck.
Short of Yata, we still have pretty much everything needed for this deck, and as previously stated: with BLS banned, there is room for about anything to take over. I don't believe Control will be strong enough to hold the top, but we'll see.

Burn--

Burn decks are powerfull, and with Chaos out of the way, they will move up, but I believe there are still more powerful decks than Burn.
Zombies, Gravekeepers, and even Warriors should be able to shut down Burn, but again, we'll see.

Morph decks--

Morph decks were hurt a lot also, just like Machines. As Machines had Limiter limited and Morph decks had Metamorphosis limited.
Magician of Faith being restricted also hurts this deck, so Morph probably won't be able to reign on top either.

Those are my opinions, and I'd love to hear yours! Agree or disagree?
