Mechanical Menaces

5.18.05

Hello again Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all!

Today I'm coming to you in building a Machine deck. Believe it or not, Machines are quite often overlooked and I don't see very many Machine decks in competitive play. So, I've decided to build one for you.

Monsters x17

Special Summon Monsters x1

Black Luster Soldier--Envoy of the Beginning

Fusions x3

Gatling Dragon

Tribute Monsters x3

Fusiler Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast
Blowback Dragon
Jinzo

Non-Tribute Monsters

King of the Swamp x2
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Magician of Faith
DD Warrior Lady
Reflect Bounder
Sangan
Cyber Jar
Drillago (seriously, you may not get the effect, but it is a DARK and a MACHINE) Kinetic Soldier x2 (these will help against all that Warrior/Chaos you'll find) Tribe Infecting Virus Jowgen the Spiritualist

Spells x17

Megamorph
Pot of Greed
Graceful Charity
Delinquent Duo
Scapegoat
Mystical Space Typhoon
Premature Burial
Polymerization
Card Destruction
Lightning Vortex
Enemy Controller
Heavy Storm
Snatch Steal
Axe of Despair
Limiter Removal x2
Brain Control (obviously The Lost Millenium isn't out, but will be shortly)

Traps x6

Mirror Force
Last Turn
Ring of Destruction
Waboku
Call of the Haunted
Torrential Tribute

All right, that's a deck of 40 cards and I hope those of you who are Machine fans like it. Now, for a few comments.

*The cards should be very self-explanatory. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.

*I purposely didn't include the X Y Z monsters and fusions because they could have their OWN Machine deck built around them and didn't need to mix with a separate Machine deck.

*Yes, I included Last Turn. I've been playing around with this deck for over a month, and the Jowgen/Last Turn or even Last Turn on its own isn't all that hard to pull off in this deck, believe it or not.

So, I hope you enjoyed creating the Machine deck, and always be looking for my next article!

Until next time, feel free to e-mail me @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

TOMORROW is Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
