Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Spellcaster--The Forgotten Decktype Part II

5.02.05

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all!

Today, I come back to talk about Spellcasters again in a follow-up to my very first article.

In this article, I'm going to talk about Spellcaster support cards that I would love to see released (most of which I've mentioned previously) to help support the deck.

Finally, I'll even be posting my Spellcaster/Chaos deck card for card to give all you Spellcaster fans an example of such a deck. Before I get 500 million e-mail about it, please feel free to use the deck if you wish, it is pretty successful for me.

First, the cards that need to be released:

Dark Magic Curtain

This card allows you to Special Summon a Dark Magician from your deck at the cost of half of your lifepoints.

Magical Dimension

Allows you to sacrifice one monster on your side of the field to summon a Spellcaster from you hand.

Magical Academy

Allows you to sacrifice one monster from your side of the field to summon a Spellcaster from your hand. That monster gains 500 attack points and increases its level by two.

Ideally, these cards, along with numerous other Spellcaster cards would be released in a second Magician's Force type set. Although that isn't likely to happen anytime soon, let's assume for the sake of argument, thati for this article, they'll come in the not to distant future...I can dream, can't I?

Now, here's my current Spellcaster/Chaos deck revolving around Dark Paladin.

Monsters x 20 (counting Fusions)

Fusion/Special Summon x3

Dark Paladin x2
Black Luster Soldier--Envoy of the Beginning

Tribute Monsters x4

Dark Magician x2
Dark Magician of Chaos
Jinzo

Non-Tribute Monsters x13

Magician of Faith
King of the Swamp x2
DD Warrior Lady
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Skilled Dark Magician x3
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
Cyber Jar
Thebian Nightmare (seriously an extra LIGHT) Reflect Bounder Sangan

Spells x16

Pot of Greed
Graceful Charity
Premature Burial
Scapegoat
Big Bang Shot
Mystic Plasma Zone
Polymerization x2
Diffusion-Wave Motion
Mage Power

Cost Down
Monster Gate

Mystical Space Typhoon
Heavy Storm

Traps x7

Dust Tornado

Waboku

If you count the two Dark Paladin in the deck, I have a 43 card deck. Along with Jaelove, I don't believe that a strict 40 card deck is a necessity. Much bigger than 45 and you may have a problem, but it's fun to play with an extra card or two sometimes.

I also have several other decks I run just for fun such as Machine and Fire. I hope you enjoyed this article, and I'd like to wish everyone a Happy MAY!
Also, keep note that Star Wars Episode III is only 17 days away.

Tune in next time for my next article about a mystery topic that I've been working on for the last month!

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
