309 Card Corrections, Pictures, and more Translations
2.23.04

Alrighty, another 309 - Pharaonic Heritage News Article. Just here to correct some of my mistakes in translations in my last news article, and to post a couple more translations of cards from the set. First, here’s a link to the 309 card-pics. Just copy/paste it into your Address Bar if it doesn’t show up click-able.

http://140.116.253.140/023417/linpf/3001/ocg/win/28-309/28-309.htm

The set has already been released overseas for a few days now. Gaia the Dragon Champion is the out-of-set Ultimate Rare, and Spirit of the Pharaoh is indeed the in-set Ultimate Rare. 309-003 - Kozaki is the Normal Rare of the set. Here are the corrections and some more translations. (To see more, check my last News Article)

Spirit of the Pharaoh

Light/Undead - Level 6 - 2500/2000

Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned.
This card can only be Special Summoned by the Effect of {First Coffin}.
When this card is successfully Special Summoned, you may choose to Special Summon up to 4 Undead-type Level 2 or below Normal Monsters from your Graveyard.

~ 309-007 - Ultra/Parallel/Ultimate Rare

*This Monster cannot be Revived, period*

Second Coffin and Third Coffin are Continuous Magic Cards, not Traps, as I stated in my last news article. First Coffin is a Super Rare in the set.

Pharaoh’s Guardian is indeed an Earth-type Monster.

Dark Seahorse’s actual name is Double Ghoston. It’s a Rare in the set, 309-023.

Shrine Guardian

Earth/Demon - Level 4 - 1100/900

Effect: While this card is face-up on the Field, your opponent can’t Draw any cards except during their Draw Phase.

~ 309-010 Common

*Might be able to work well with things like Card Destruction, but it may prevent you from even using Card Destruction in the first place. We‘ll have to wait for a ruling on this*

Spirit Knight - Jackal

Earth/Beast Warrior - Level 5 - 1700/1600

Effect: When this card destroys an opponent’s Monster in Battle, you may Special Summon the destroyed Monster to your side of the Field in face-up DEF mode.

~ 309-017 Ultra/Parallel Rare

Blessing Statue

Earth/Rock - Level 3 - 1500/0

Effect: When this card is sent from your Hand to the Graveyard by an opponent’s Card-Effect, gain 2000 LP.

~ 309-018 Common

Disastrous Statue

Earth/Rock - Level 3 - 1500/0

Effect: When this card is sent from your Hand to the Graveyard by an opponent’s Card-Effect, do 2000 damage to the opponent.

~ 309-019 Common

Spatial Hurricane

Normal Magic

Effect: Discard one card from your Hand. Destroy all Monsters on the Field that have been Special Summoned.

~ 309-029 Rare

7

Continuous Magic

Effect: When you have three {7} cards on the Field, draw 3 cards. Afterwards, destroy all three {7} cards. When this card is sent to the Graveyard from the Field, you gain 700 LP.

~ 309-036 Common

Remains of Anubis

Dark/Demon - Level 6 - 2500/0

Effect: While this card is face-up on the Field, negate the activations of all Monster, Magic, or Trap Effects that target/involve the Graveyard.

~ 309-056 Secret Rare

*Like a Monster version of Necrovalley. Likely to prevent things like CED, Snake, and the Searchers*

Overall, this a pretty good set if you’re into Fun-Play a lot, like myself. The set also has some of the best card-art I’ve seen in a set in a long while. Not a lot of tourney-level cards in the set, but that’s fine with me. There are still quite a few cards that could fit into some tourney-level Decks, and plenty of cards for Fun Decks. The set seems to be mostly based on weak low-level Monsters, but it also brings a lot more support for them, with cards like Triangle, Power, Thousand Energy, and The Weak Unite. (If you want to know the translations and/or card #‘s for any or all of those cards, you can e-mail me asking me about them) Anyways, that’s the news for today. You can expect my next Look Into the Future article to be up within the next couple of days here.

Until next time..

~DM7~
