Dungeon Dice Masters Talk
A Deck’s Equipment
by TheDungeonMaster
08.01.05

I’m taking a little time off of Dungeon Dice Monsters upon request to type a small article about a Deck’s equipment. What am I talking about? I’m talking about a deck’s needs; the cases, deck boxes, and other stuff to make a good deck.

Let’s start with the cases. There are many types for your deck. There are the common looking ones, just sturdy enough for your deck for a little while, there are the sturdy ones (one I use), there are ones with Dragons on them, and there are ones with the YuGiOh logo on that. And that’s JUST for YuGiOh. There are bigger ones, ones for Pokemon and Magic, and one for Duel Masters. Anyone of those cases look good, but I think most of you stay with the YuGiOh sized ones. Some of you like to put as much style and spend a lot of money into your deck, like trying to make it as rare as it can go and then make it all first edition. But it doesn’t end there – you like to put as much style into your cases as well. That’s why I see most people using the Dragon-looking cards. They do look good; I’m considering getting some for myself. But as of right now, I’m happy with the cases I got. The Pokemon/Magic/Duel Masters sized cases are cool too, but the only problem with those is that the card slides around too much.

In order from left to right: Pokemon/Magic, YuGiOh, Dragon YuGiOh, Duel Masters.

Now that we got the cases down, lets talk about the Deck Boxes.

There are MANY deck boxes out there, way too many to talk about. But I’ll try to get some of the Deck Boxes out there anyway. There are 2 different types yet again: YuGiOh sized, and Pokemon/Magic/Duel Master sized. Go figure. Out of every deck box out there for each game, they ALL can be decorated. I personally like to use the standard. Why waste so much money to get a decorated Deck box when you can get a good one foe 2 bucks? The only way I would get a better one (which I probably well) is to get the armored one for your Deck. Water can’t get into it and its well platted. There not much, just like three or four dollars. There are a lot of armored platted ones, but I would just get a regular one, not one all decorated.

Well, that does it for this article. But one last thing: Where did I get the idea to write an article like this? Well, that’s an easy one. It was a request on the Pojo.com Message Boards under WickEd’s request for you. So I decided to make one up, it wasn’t too long, but a pretty good article non-the less.
