Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force

Pay half your LP, then target 1 "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, then Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 Xyz Monster that is 2 Ranks higher than that monster, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)

Hello Pojo Fans,

Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force is the newest card in the Rank-Up set of cards and this one caters more to the Raidraptor archetype, but can still be played by other Winged-Beast users that like to tech in the Rank-Up cards.

Half your LP can be a hefty price to Special Summon an Xyz Monster from your graveyard depending on the situation, but then you upgrade to a higher Xyz monster immediately and use that Xyz monster as a material. The Xyz monster Special Summoned first has to be a Raidraptor Xyz, so you have to run at least one of those Xyz to use this card. Raidraptor - Force Strix is the only Xyz Raidraptor that doesn't require Winged-Beast or Raidraptor monsters, and that monsters effect is only useful to Winged-Beast users.

This card is a great way for Raidraptor and Winged-Beast players to get out their bigger Xyz monsters that may require more materials to Special Summon. Blackwing and Harpie players can use this card alongside Raidraptor - Rise Falcon to Special Summon a Rank 6 Xyz monster like  Raidraptor - Revolution Falcon, while Raidraptor players have Xyz Raidraptor monsters that range from ranks 3 to 8, giving them several targets for this card.
While able to be used by other Winged-Beast users, as well as even a quick way for other players to get a Rank 6 out without having to Xyz Summon it the traditional way, it's best used in its archetype.

Rank-Up-Magic spells are usually bad, but Raidraptors make good use of them. In this case Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force is great because it can XYZ summon any XYZ monster that is 2 Ranks higher than the target. That target does need to be a Raidraptor XYZ monster in the Graveyard. That target must be able to be Special Summoned, so it can't have been negated by a Counter Trap or Special Summoned improperly first. Also, you have to pay half of your Life Points just to activate this Spell Card. This card would be better if you could also use Raidraptor XYZ monsters on the field. Obviously, you could stack Raidraptors onto Raidraptors, but this is an alternate way to get really great XYZ monsters out of a deck that normally can't such as Cyber Dragon Infinity.

Score: 3/5 CD Infinity options are good. Too bad it's only for Raidraptors.
Art: 3/5 It doesn't look like much of anything.

Snodin

Looking at this card, you know Konami is planning something big with Raidraptors. This card basically gives you a free high level XYZ monster, but it's specifically for the Raidraptor theme so there won't be a lot of playability with this card since not many people play this theme. Perhaps more RR players will come out of the woodwork thanks to cards like these. Only time will tell.

Score: 5/5 for Raidraptors only
