Performage Damage Juggler
- #CORE-EN015

During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you: You can discard this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. During either player's Battle Phase: You can discard this card; reduce the next battle damage you would take this turn to 0. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Performage" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Performage Damage Juggler". You can only use this effect of "Performage Damage Juggler" once per turn.

Performage Damage Juggler

The Performage monsters are very good (since they search each other), and are finding their way in a number of decks including Shaddolls.  They're LV4 for XYZ's, they block damage in difficult situations, LIGHT for Construct (or any other cards that require LIGHTS), and most importantly they replace themselves.  Particularly, you can summon Construct and then get another Performage monster to help you summon another Construct.

Performage Damage Juggler clocks in at 1500 Atk and 1000 Def. Those stats alone make it searchable by the old die-by-battle searchers. It is a Level 4 Light Spellcaster-Type monster. I just love all of that. Performages in general are fairly splashable Level 4 monsters for easy Rank 4 plays. And this one easily searches the others.

PDJ (because there are too many soft sounding g's for me) has a bunch of text on such a common card. From your hand during either player's turn, if you are about to take effect damage, discard PDJ and negate and destroy the cause of the damage. Or, you can reduce the next Battle Damage you would take to 0 during either player's Battle Phase. Finally, from the Graveyard, Banish PDJ to search any other Performage monster to your hand, but only once per turn. This card works in with its own kind for combos, but it also works against the opponent from inflicting damage to you. Being able to use it during your own turn allows it to hit the Graveyard sooner and search more. This card is great because it doesn't need the other Performages to be useful. None of them do, but the benefits are high to use all of the good ones.

Score: 4/5 This is so searchable in Traditional as well.

Art: 4.5/5 Super funny and Super Biased for Light Attribute.
