Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-Spirit
- #CBLZ-EN098

Cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Beast-Warrior-Type monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Level 3 FIRE monster with 200 or less DEF in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. If you do, you can only attack with Beast-Warrior-Type monsters for the rest of this turn. You can only use the effect of "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit" once per turn.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-Spirit, and we're back to a Level 3 Beast-Warrior, Fire attributed, and with stats that are negligible on both sides, although I don't think you're suppose to attack or defend with this guy. He's a Tuner, which will play into tomorrow. The 500 attack and 200 defense aren't likely to do much for you in about any situation. So, our Tuner has limitations. He can only be used for the Synchro Summon of a Beast-Warrior Synchro Monster. Not a Fire-type, but a Beast-Warrior. That may be a moot point anyway, but regardless. In playing in combo with cards we looked at earlier this week, when Spirit is Normal Summoned, you can target a Level 3 Fire Monster with 200 defense or less in your Graveyard, and Special Summon it in defense position. There's your money effect, and it does further stipulate you can only attack with Beast-Warrior Monsters during this turn. I really like this guy. Although in terms of his own attack he won't count for much, he combos well, and adds even more speed to a Deck that's hella fast as is.

Miguel

We really get into the good stuff here with Fire Fist - Spirit. Spirit is a level 3 FIRE/Beast-Warrior Tuner monster (Yay!) with 500/200 for ATK/DEF. He cannot be used for Synchro material unless it is for the synchro summoning of a Beast-Warrior type monster, and there are a few. When this card is normal summoned, you can target a level 3 FIRE monster with 200 DEF or less in your grave and special summon it in face up defense position. If you do this, you can only attack with Beast-Warrior monsters for the rest of the turn. YOu can only use Spirit's effect once per turn. Yes, Im thinking of Flamvell monsters too when I first read this effect as well. Or, instead of Synchroing, you can Xyz summon if you choose. Rekindling can be used here to get Spirit back into your hand. Fire Fist - Spirit is good not only for the Brotherhood deck, but for other FIRE decks such as Flamvell. The cons for Spirit is it's weak stats and it limits you to Beast-Warriors, but I can see that balances the card. Keep an eye on this card, it'll be a reason why FIRE decks may rise again.
