Star Drawing closes our week, and if you run a number of Rank 5 XYZ Monsters totaling three or more, you play this card. An Earth attributed Spellcaster, with 1600 attack and 1000 defense isn't great, and good as the ability is that she becomes Level 5 when XYZ Summoning, that alone may not warrant playing the card. But she lets you Draw a card when used for an XYZ Summon. XYZ Summon (assuming it's two Monsters) is a -1, using the two Monsters to form one new Monster. But if you can Draw a card out of the deal, you break even. I'd honestly expect to see her as tech, I like her, a lot

We end the week with a pretty good card. Star Drawing is an adorable little EARTH/Spellcaster of an artist that has two very good effects that both involve Xyz summoning. If you use Star Drawing for an Xyz summon, you can treat this card as a level 5 monster, so you can get those Rank 5 Xyz monsters like the newly released Volcarsarus. Also, if you use Drawing for an Xyz summon, you get to Draw a card. I like to believe this is almost a splashable card, due to its ability to be used in several ways, including being able to be teamed with cards like The Tricky and Cyber Dragon. Even in a Spellbook deck, Star Drawing reaps a lot of benefits. Even if you top deck this card, 1600/1000 for ATK/DEF isn't all that bad, well ATK wise at least. I like this card and look forward to giving it a try, so should you.

Today we will be covering another card from Cosmic Blazar! With the name being cosmic, it would be nice to have a card about stars and galaxies wouldn't it? Luckily today we are featuring the incredibly versatile Star Drawing!

Star Drawing
Level 4/ Earth/ Spellcaster

I love cards like these. So many options and usefulness that can come out of it. Summon Cyber Dragon/Solar Wind Jammer, normal this, go into Tiras/Volcasaurus/Adreus and then draw a card on top of having a powerful monster. You can also use it alongside Summoner Monk to gain the advantage back from the discard. While most people use Sacred Crane instead as a light target, Star Drawing has the advantage of being a spellcaster like monk.

Speaking of Spellcaster, this is boosted by all the spellbook support, which can be cool (but not optimal).

So, what are the disadvantages? Sadly it doesn't do a whole lot by itself and thus requires other cards to really get a good use out of it. Also, skill drain laughs at this as the xyz monster does gain the effect; thus it will be negated by Skill Drain (or veiler, breakthrough skill, fiendish chain.... you get the point).

Oh ya, before someone asks.... no it won't gain additional draws when used for a chaos xyz summon like Utopia Ray or M7. This has been asked many times before on the forums and has been told it won't work.

Advanced: 3.5

Verstile and allows access into your xyz toolbox and allows you to draw. Sadly, it won't do much on its own without support. A solid card overall though!

Not a light or dark so.... why bother?

To wrap up this week, we have Xyz monsters answer to Tuningware: Star Drawing. This is a great card, first you can make it a level 5 if you want for your Xyz summon and when this is used as a Xyz Material you get to draw a card. Two great effects, no costs or conditions and it’s actually better that Tuningware due to its better level.

Overall, if you are playing a lot of Rank4 or Rank5 monsters the this card is a must.
