Spellbook of Power is an interesting Magic card.  The only thing I dislike about this card is that you HAVE to destroy a Monster (or Monsters) or else you're only getting a 1000 attack boost for a turn.  This not being an Equip Magic card is a plus, but what else happens here.  For every Monster the Monster you select to use this card on destroys this turn, you can add a Spellbook Magic card from your Deck to your Hand.  So combo this card with Diffusion Wave Motion, ideally destroying say three Monsters, take what you want, and you're set.  Ideally you'd play a Heavy Storm or something first so you can get this to go through, otherwise you all but wasted this card, see original statement.  Obviously a combo card, and a good one too, you're probably playing two of these in your Spellbook Deck.

At the halfway point on our list of the top 11 cards is Spellbook of Power. A normal spell card that acts as a off-shoot Reinforcements of the Army type deal for getting Spellbook cards from your deck to your hand. As well as giving a shot in the arm to a Spellcaster you control.

Target 1 Spellcaster-type monster you control; Until the end phase, it gains 1000 ATK. Also, until the end phase, each time it destroys a monster by battle, you can add 1 Spellbook spell card from your deck to your hand. You can only activate Spellbook of Power once per turn.

This can work with cards such as Enlightenment and even Diffusion Wave Motion to attack more than once. Working with other Prophecy monsters like High Priestess and Strength can get you really big monsters that can get you other precious Spellbook spell cards real fast. One thing I always say, is that sometimes, you just need a bit more muscle to overcome a problem. This card gets you that muscle, and when it destroys a monster, it gets you even more.
