Our last Armor Ninja element is water or aqua. Like Necro Gardna, Aqua Armor Ninja has the ability to negate an attack. Unlike Necro Gardna, Aqua’s effect targets and you need another Ninja in the graveyard to activate its effect.

Aqua is a Warrior, Water, and only has 800 attack points, so it can be searched and special summoned very easily. You can search for it with Reinforcement of the Army and Sangan, or special summon it with Mother Grizzly or Limit Reverse. Then use it with another level 4 Armor Ninja to make a Rank 4 monster like Utopia and have the ability to negate 3 or your opponent’s attacks.

By themselves, the Armor Ninja’s do not look like much, but stay tuned, as we will be looking at more support for this archetype in the days to come.

It's Ninja Thursday and we're looking at Aqua Armor Ninja. A level 4 Water/Warrior with 800 ATK and 1600 DEF. Aqua Ninja allows you to: If your opponent's monster goes for a direct attack, if you have another "Ninja" monster in your graveyard, you can banish this card from your graveyard to negate that attack. With not the best stats, this card is really better off in the graveyard anyway. It's good to use to stop bigger attacks, but you won't be using too many of this card as it can be a dead draw at times....unless they make a Destiny Draw for Ninjas sometime in the future. Aqua Ninja is an ok card, best used to stop your opponent's bigger monsters in their tracks. If this card ended the battle phase, it would have gotten a higher score.

Tomorrow: Reinforcements for Ninjas No-Jutsu!!!

Aqua Armor Ninja

“When your opponent’s monster declares a direct attack, if you have another “Ninja” monster in your Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard to target the attacking monster; negate that attack.”

This card seems pretty decent at first, but after deeper analyzing it falls short of being a Necro Gardna for the new Ninja archetype. Its defense is respectable, although it won’t be stopping much and it can’t exactly ram head on into much. The only upside I can see to this card for this meta is being searchable via Sangan and Reinforcement of the Army. Also, if there are multiple copies of this in the graveyard without there being another other ninjas its effect still activates because it does not specify.

Pros: Searchable, and level 4 means it can xyz into Utopia or Blade Armor Ninja.
Cons: Effect is a little too situational for my liking.

Thursday:

Aqua Armor Ninja
Lv 4/WATER/Warrior/800A/1600D
"When your opponent's monster declares a direct attack, if you have another "Ninja" monster in your Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard to target the attacking monster; negate that attack."

As far as attack-negating cards go, this one seems too restrictive. Cards like Necro Gardna work much better and with far less hastle. This guy is also only useful later in the duel once you have the graveyard filled up. Not the best ninja, but not the worst, either.

Advanced: 2.75
