Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Masked Ninja Ebisu
#ORCS-EN030

Once per turn, if you control a face-up "Ninja" monster other than "Masked Ninja Ebisu", you can activate this effect: Return a number of your opponent's Spell/Trap Cards to the hand, equal to the number of "Ninja" monsters you control, also every face-up "Goe Goe the Gallant Ninja" you control can attack your opponent directly this turn.

It's a 2 for 1 day while it's Ninja week PT. 2. Masked Ninja Ebisu is what we're looking at right now. A level 4 Wind/Warrior, with 1200 ATK and 1800 DEF. Ebisu's effect is: Once per turn, while you control another Ninja monster, other than Ebisu, Return a number of your opponent's spell/traps equal to the number of face up Ninja monsters you control to their hand. Also, every face-up Goe Goe the Gallant Ninja you control can attack your opponent directly this turn. I like to think that this card can start another type of Ninja Decks. While the elemental ninjas are more about Xyz summoning, masked Ninja Ebisu is kinda about control and assisting other cards in wrecking your opponent's hands. Teaming with Goe Goe can open up a couple of direct attacks and forcing you opponent to discard a few cards. While not the best stats, although 1800 DEF is respectful, this card can do a lot of damage when/if played right.

Traditional: 1
Advanced: 2.5 In a Ninja Deck with Goe Goe at the helm.

Masked Ninja Ebisu

Gonna be honest, not a huge fan of this card. Upstart Ninja and Hanzo are amazing support cards and can help you build your board, this card cannot. While the being able to attack directly part may seem cool, you need multiple monsters more than likely, as well as multiple spell/traps for it to work, too much needed

Well, as far as the new nunjas go, Ebisu isn't the grestest at first glance. While his defense is alright, his attack power could've been a bit higher. You'll mainly want him in your ninja decks for temporarily clearing out troublesome S/T cards from the field. As for his other effect, Goe Goe has 1500ATK and when combined with Ebisu's hand-filling effect, he can potentially do some damage to the opponent's strategy.

While it's an interesting combo, the potential to really hose the opponent is a bit iffy for my taste. I'd run only one or two of him in a ninja deck as he can clear the way for stronger monsters to attack without fear of being hit by a Mirror Force, Sakuretsu Armor, or be negated by cards such as Gravity Bind or Messenger of Peace.

He's similar to Lady Ninja Yae, but doesn't require the discarding of a WIND-attribute monster from your hand and has better stats.
