Dark Paladin

Apparently it's Psychic monster week.  As a brief opening, I really like the Psychic archtype as a whole.  I'd really like to see Psychics just bust open the scene, but I don't see that happening any time soon...Serene Psychic Witch, a Level 3, Psychic type, Light attribute monster, with 1400 attack, and 1200 defense, is our card to open the week.  So, when she is destroyed on the FIeld, and sent to the Graveyard, not in any specific way, you can remove from play a Psychic type monster with 2000 or less attack from your Deck.  Said monster is Special Summoned to your side of the Field during your next Stand by Phase.  This card works really well in combo with most everything else you're going to see us look at this week.  For those of you who play Psychic, or are thinking about it, I'd go ahead and try at least one.  Though you can certainly make a Psychic Deck that doesn't deal with this removal mechanic.  For that reason,

Serene Psychic Witch

This week, we're looking at the new Psychic monsters from EXVC, with a focus on removing from play, special summoning, and replacing.

Serene Psychic Witch is meant to kick the deck into motion. After being destroyed, she'll remove and then special summon a Psychic monster [but nothing too strong] the next turn. Removing first will trigger the effect of Mental Seeker or Esper Girl while allowing for a Synchro Summon.

However, this effect will NOT trigger unless she's destroyed in battle, which really hurts her viability. You might want to use her for a lot of Synchros, in a deck that has too many Tuners. However, if you follow up the summon with something like Silent Psychic Wizard, you'll get a Synchro while summoning her back.

4/5
Art: They all have similar backgrounds.
Fun Fact: There are virtually no Psychics that don't support the Psychic archetype.
Tomorrow: Your draw engine.

Serene Psychic Witch

Serene Psychic Witch is Konamis lifeline to the long underrated psychic hall of monsters, support and junk. She is cute in that strange metropolis sorta way. Anyhow 1400 atk/1200 def 3 star effect monster.

Effects pretty cool, when this card on field is destroyed and sent to the grave you can remove from play a psychic monster with 2000 or less atk from your deck. On your next standby phase SS that monster.

Dam....thats really obnoxious. Psychics ha have tons of support so you plenty of options for this card but it works quite well with the other monsters in its own archtype. You mainly want to pitch esper girl or mindseeker. Both have really obnoxious effects and are tuners; two and three star respectively. So right there you have syncing options. You can also simply get monsters you want on the field this way. Overall psychics have some good support such as Overdrive Teleporter, Ultimate Axion Kicker and Brain Research Lab to name a few. This new support allows for many interesting combos and otk based decks. Played a friends build recently and I must admit...it was obnoxious.
